| Quote: | FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports the Jaguars have begun contract negotiations with Falcons director of player personnel David Caldwell for their general manager position.
It's second straight year that Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff has lost his first lieutenant to another team. One personnel man told Pete Prisco of CBS Sports that Caldwell and Steve Keim of the Cardinals were the two best GM candidates on the market. The two finalists in Jacksonville each landed their own gigs within hours of each other on Tuesday. Caldwell is choosing the Jaguars over the Jets, which speaks volumes about the attractiveness of the New York job. Caldwell's imminent hiring could be good news for Mike Mularkey, as the two worked together in Atlanta. |

Looks like Dimitroff is building up his own GM tree. _________________ "John Wayne and Rio Lobo are coming up next, just as soon as Jeffrey Leonard hits into a 6-4-3." (CRACK!) "Six...four...three!" -- Skip Caray |

You were actually really, really close, you just needed the d after "man".

I'd rather have him than not have him...
But, I think we lucked out having Koetter stay with us and so far Nolan's here as well. |

Was Pioli ever fired? I could see him trying to reboot his career here if he was. _________________

He was. He and Andy Reid were friends and didn't feel like working with a friend is what I heard. Not a bad move by Pioli IMO. Reid might have wanted GM powers?? _________________
