@RapSheet: RT @JasonColeYahoo: Barrett Jones just said he played with a lisfranc injury that will require surgery. That's toughness. |
.. what's a lisfranc injury?
- If he has managed to play with it, it doesnt look so serious. Shouldn't fall further then late 2nd then I would guess? |
Noooo. Lisfranc injuries are a very serious concern. And if it requires surgery, it's severe enough to be a major concern. They tend to rehab very poorly, and are potential career enders. I think this is terrible news for Jones. Probably hurts his draft stock as much as a partial ACL tear. If not more, depending on how he checks out.
I love Jones, but the third round is the earliest I'd consider him after this news. |
Round 1: Chance Warmack or Jonathan Jenkins
Round 2: Sharrif Floyd
Round 3: Barrett Jones

That would in fact be excellent. WalterFootball right now has us with:
1. Johnathan Jenkins, NT, Georgia
2. Eric Reid, S, LSU
3. Alvin Bailey, G, Arkansas
Which I would also Love. That would be a stellar SEC haul. They are finishing up round 3 now and round 4 should be out within the next hour.

That would not suck, either. Switch Bailey for Barrett Jones and you have another home run draft. _________________

I saw that draft on WalterFootball and when talking about us drafting John Jenkins it brought up the fact he has character issues? I wasn't aware of that and would we spend our first round pick on a possible WKG? _________________

Aside from his issues with Academics, I know of no issues with Jenkins. While that was mentally lazy on his part, I find it to be a similar (although not by any means the same) situation as Mo. _________________

John Jenkins didn't get into any legal trouble, I think he was just lazy when it came to the classroom. But if anyone watched his game tape you wouldnt guess that because you can tell he spends more time on his game tape.
Hes the smartest NT in the draft on the field IMO.
Im the #1 John Jenkins supporter on here. I would be so happy to see him in Dallas next season. _________________

So, I guess that Cooper/Warmack now is the two guys most people wants us to go for after a change to the 4-3?
right now, this is how I rank them at #18:
1) Cooper (OG).
2) Te'o (ILB/OLB).
3) Ansah (DE).
4) Okafor (DE).
5) Warmack (OG).
6) Richardson (DT).
7) Elam (FS).
Short (DT).
9) Vacarro (FS).
The ranking of Ansah and Okafor will be decided by the senior bowl. If Okafor puts on another performance as in the bowl game, he deserves to be a top 20 pick. A lot of these picks is in general dependent on the senior bowl. I know that a lot of you will strongly disagree about Warmack, but I just like the guys infront of him better. |

In a traditional sense, I view Elam better suited for the SS role. _________________
