Edit: Manti was also shutdown tonight, you could definitely tell he was a leader out there. I would not trade up for him though. |
Were we watching the same game? Dude missed 7 tackles and made no impact at all last night. Looked lost against a balanced offense and big OL. Don't want him.
One ND player I did like last night was Zeke Motta. He missed tackles too, but was flying all over the field and I remember one drive where he made every single tackle on a Bama offensive player but one. Think he can be solid in the pros. |
Manti was shutdown as in he did nothing, however you could definitely tell he is the type of guy that leads a defense. I would not trade up for him though. |

Giants sign Kris Adams and Antonio Dennard to future/reserve contracts.
http://www.bigblueview.com/2013/1/15/3880378/new-york-giants-roster-moves-kris-adams-antonio-dennard-signed-to
Kris Adams has nice size for a wide receiver at 6 foot 3. But the more interesting signing is Antonio Dennard. Other than being mistaken for Alfonzo Dennard by me, he has good size 5-11 or 6-0. Still young at only 23, and he put up some decent stats in the 2012 preseason with 2 tackles, 4 pass deflections, and 2 interceptions(1 for a touchdown). I would definitely keep an eye on him this off season. |

Yes, but we should have done it last year which is what I wanted especially on DEFENSE |

| Does anyone think we are going to get a compensatory pick for the draft this year? If so which round do you think? |

Yes, for Manningham. They are supposed to be given based on contracts to new team. I'd say anywhere from 5-7, but most likely a 6th. |

This was my prediction
Giants Lost:
WR Mario Manningham (2 yr 7.3)
CB Aaron Ross (3 yr 9.7)
DE Dave Tollefson (2 yr 2.4)
Giants Gained:
TE Martellus Bennent (1 yr 2.5)
Giants will be rewarded a 5th or 6th |

I know its just not truly realistic or accurate, but this is the roster I did in a Mock Offseason for the Giants in one of the FF leagues. I still have the Giants limited cap and a few key FAs to sign, so I couldn't go wild. Like Kenny Phillips and even Will Moore went way above what I could pay them.
I prioritized fixing the defense by adding youth at reasonable prices. Let me know what you think if its close to the direction you would go.
FYI, I still have two more draft picks- BPA LB (Hodges?) and a K.
ROSTER
QB- Eli Manning/ David Carr (FA)
RB- David Wilson/ Darren Sproles (Trade)/ Andre Brown
FB- Henry Hynoski
WR- Hakeem Nicks/ Domenik Hixon (FA)/ Donald Jones (FA)
WR- Victor Cruz/ Rueben Randle
TE- Martellus Bennett (Franchise)/ Ben Watson (FA)/ Adrien Robinson
C- David Baas/ Jim Cordle (FA)
RG- Chris Snee/ Sam Young (FA)/ Ramon Foster (FA)
LG- Kevin Boothe (FA)/ Ramon Foster (FA)/ Brandon Mosley
RT- Jeromey Clary (Trade)/ Sam Young (FA)/ Barry Richardson (FA)
LT- Will Beatty (FA)/ Barry Richardson (FA)
DT- Linval Joseph/ Kawann Short (Draft)/ Markus Kuhn
DT- Glenn Dorsey (FA)/ Drake Nevis (Trade)
RE- Jason Pierre-Paul/ Mathias Kiwanuka
LE- Brandon Graham (Trade)/ Juqua Parker (FA)/ Adewale Ojomo
MLB- Mason Foster (Trade)/ Chase Blackburn (FA)
SLB- Manny Lawson (FA)/ Mark Herzalich
WLB- Jacquain Williams/ Spencer Paysinger
SS- Kenny Vaccaro (Draft)/ Don Carey (Trade)/ Tyler Sash
FS- Antrel Rolle/ Will Hill
CB- Prince Amukamara/ Captain Munnerlyn (FA)
CB- Cary Williams (FA)/ Jayron Hosley/ Christopher Owens (FA)

The creativity is great but the Giants don't trade. _________________

Interesting that they say left tackle, I wonder what happens to Beatty and the problem still remains at right tackle. |

Beatty has played some RT, so maybe he plays there depending on the price, or the GMEN look at a FA RT option. _________________ XBL/PSN/WIIU- Fracdaddy14
