Yes a long-term contract will be hard to get to 'lock him up'
Honestly I think motivational speaker would be more rewarding $$$ and spiritually for the guy...Anthony Robbins part deux |

Congrats to Lewis here, the guy has a great football mind. He should be a good commentator. _________________ Why, if it isn't my old friend, Mr. McGreg. With a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg. |

I don't really like much of anything on ESPN besides 10 minutes of SC in the morning. I had wished Lewis would of dived into coaching instead, maybe become a LB coach of some kind, and move up to a DC in a few years. _________________

I think that would take too much time away from his kids which is the sole reason he's hanging them up this year. I'm even surprised he's going into this deal with ESPN, but I guess it still gives him the time he needs to watch RL3 at Miami.
But I wouldn't look for him to start coaching for at least a couple of years, and in all honesty, I think we'd see him coaching at a high school/college level sooner than we'd see him in the NFL. Ray likes to impact people and I could most certainly see him loving the aspect of helping to inspire kids off the streets via football. _________________
