I can't agree with this statement at all. He's one of the better overall coverage safeties in this draft. He's pretty good at taking away the deep half of the field when he's been utilized in that role and has the agility/fluidity to be used as a slot corner when needed...
I don't think Vaccaro fits at all as a SS, as run support and overall tacking are not two of his strong suits... |
Idk where you saw this because everything I have seen he is lined up in the box or in the slot. I never said its what he does best i was simply saying thats what he has done at Texas. Trying to evaluate him as a FS is like trying to do the same for TJ MAC. They are always in the box/slot playing the run and underneath coverage and only have a handful of times playing deep.
Regardless, the thing i hate most about Vaccaro is that he takes plays off. He only plays hard when the play comes his way, and there are a few times when the play starts to develop opposite his way then eventually comes his way and he gets caught looking stupid. _________________

I know he just had a monster game, and it's gonna seem like I'm just jumping on the bandwagon, which I kinda am.....but I want DeAndre Hopkins.
He looks really good from the one game I saw him in and the youtube videos I've been watching (not highlight vids) Can anyone tell me more about him? at the end of the day will he be a solid 1st round option? Would anyone have him ahead of Blackmon if he were in this years class? |

Not Sure where else to put this...

Rams give tryouts to DT Landon Cohen and LB Brian Rolle. |
Any chance Rolle can fill that LB spot for us? |

That is interesting, wonder why they released Rolle. He is young and can compete for a roster spot if the Rams sign him. |

What do you guys think about double dipping at safety this draft? I'm in a mock draft on another forum and right now I have...
1. Chance Warmack
1. Keenan Allen
2. Tony Jefferson
Was thinking about the safety from south Carolina in the 3rd, I know a lot of you guys arw high on him. All the RBs are still on the board....and no Jrry, Wheaton isn't available, he went 34th overall. I think Da'Rick Rogers is available though. |

Probably not. Might offer some STs value. _________________

I like the look of that. I assume that Allen wasn't the first receiver off the board, who went ahead of him? DJ would be good value and would play well with Jefferson. _________________

I would if he's the best value. _________________

I'm looking further back than just this past season where he was used almost exclusively around the line of scrimmage because of team factors beyond his control. He played a more traditional coverage safety role in early 2011 (against Mizzou is one specific game I rememberl). He's had some exposure in this area and hasn't come up short...
While it's been limited opportunity, it's still only bodes to his ability. Plus, his overall understanding of coverage and skill-set leads me to believe he's capable... _________________

Get Landry in FA, Swearinger and Ogeltree in the draft
Have the nastiest defense in the league _________________

I think Ogeltree is very overrated. Landry has the numbers but cant convert it to play on the field. _________________

| What's everyone's feelings on the guys with question marks, like a Lattimore or Mathieu? Earliest you'd feel comfortable taking one? I wouldn't mind resigning Steven and then stashing Lattimore away. |

I'd take Lattimore in the 4th/5th, and Mathieu in the 4th. Its a pretty deep class at RB, but at full health, Lattimore is the best of the bunch. His injury is concerning though. Though, I'd only take Lattimore if we don't re-sign Steven. I don't want 4 RBs and I don't want to cut Richardson or Pead. _________________

| I think lattimore is done for next season right? I'd only take him if we RESIGN Steven |
