So Charlie Casserly said Chip will fail. All but said it anyways.
He said:
His tempo won't work because Millionaires won't wanna run that much.
His run game is basic and allows people with speed to out run which you can't in the NFL
His passing game is too basic and the NFL is far to advanced and will shut it down with ease.
His QBs will likely get hurt because of the punishment they take. (ironic since in 2011 their QB ran it 56 times including sacks)
He has better players then the teams he faced.
And finally no one has a roster he can use his style with.
So I guess he is a bum. _________________

Yeah I heard him, whatever it's no more informed than the people who say it will work. All speculation. |

Yeah I heard him, whatever it's no more informed than the people who say it will work. All speculation. | What is funny is I don't see how that couldn't be said about Harbaugh.
Tempo I give him that (tho they need to do what coaches tell him)
Harbaugh's run game consisted of my guys will push your guys out of the way.
His passing game, well how do we know if a passing game is basic? We don't know the reads. What we do know is Harbaugh used possibly the best QB prospect since Elway, and had 3 legit draftable TEs with a OL that allowed the least sacks in the country. Do we not know they simply out talented there?
His QB could get hurt (Luck was least sacked QB in country but had 1 less attempt then Chip's QB Thomas). That means Luck had more designed runs or scrambles.
He had far better players than the teams he faced. Stanford has matched or beat Oregon in All-Pac-12 players since 2010. Not to mention had 2 different players in 2 years get 2nd in Heisman while having 4 players last year alone drafted in the first 40 picks. _________________

I like your points...
Just FYI, Stanford had a RB drafted #52 overall (Gerhart) in 2010, Oregon only had 1 offensive player drafted that year, and that was Ed Dickson at #70.
2011, Stanford had Marecic at #124 overall, Oregon had zero offensive players drafted
2012, Stanford had some guy named Luck at #1, Decastro at #24, Fleener at #34, and Martin at #42...Oregon had James at #61, Mark Asper(G) at #178, and David Paulson(TE) at #240
Cal had Jahvid Best go at #30 overall in 2010, Shane Vereen go at #56 overall in 2011, and Schwartz at #37 overall in 2012.
Including all players drafted:
2010
Oregon, 3 players (#38, #70, #111)
Stanford, 3 players (#51, #233, #253)
Cal, 3 players (#10, #30, #225)
Arizona, 3 players (#42, #81, #170)
2011
Oregon, one player (#116)
Stanford, 4 players (#97, #124, #154, #167)
Cal, 4 players (#24, #56, #93, #189)
Arizona, 3 players (#42, #197, #215)
2012
Oregon, 4 players (#61, #155, #178, #240)
Stanford, 4 players (#1, #24, #34, #42)
Cal, 6 players (#37, #46, #70, #166, #216, #219)
Arizona, 3 players (#88, #168, #245)
That guy was talking out of his backside. _________________

Someone earlier said we need a Darren Sproles type to back up Trent in Chips scheme.
Reggie Bush is a Free agent......
We have tons of cap and have to hit the cap floor.
Makes a lot of sense to me. _________________

I was never a big fan of him but in Chips system he could be a really good option. _________________

Does Chip live in Arizona or something?
I find it odd that he is still in Arizona, his team is back in Oregon and teams are still flying yo Arizona to meet up with him.
Does anyone think that Philly would really fly out there after these reports if they felt they had no shot at landing him? _________________

Conflicting reports on Philly. I saw one source say that Philly decided not to interview Kelly, and another source that they're going to interview him today. _________________ Cleveland Browns: We put the fun in dysfunction.

I see it like this....
I believe there is 0% chance he stays at Oregon. Everyone knows the sanctions are about to come down and most feel they will be at least worse than the ones OSU just got. He is obviously willing to listen to the NFL, now would be his perfect out.
The fact that we spent 7 hours with him shows we have to be the front runner.
It feels like he is only meeting with the other teams because he regrets not doing it last year and wants to check all his angles.
It is another huge boost for us that he asked his friend Belicheck and he told him to choose Cleveland.
I don't think the Bills are a real threat.
I have a feeling Philly doens't love him nearly as much as us.
Worst case, it turns into a bidding war and we win that handily.
I'm still feeling very good about this.
Though I completely understand the pessimism around here. The fact that i'm confident doesn't stop me from being nervous.
This town has been burned way to many times for me to not think about it. _________________

I think that was all fabricated by media speculation that Kelly to Cleveland was all but done. Eagles said they weren't in Arizona. And they weren't. Me bets Chip told them he was meeting with us and he will get back to them if he doesn't sign. He didn't so they are now going out there.
I don't like this one bit if he is playing the football power card. _________________

I think I agree with that article. It makes sense. The part about Philly interviewing him today appears to be true, as well.
Recent tweet from Schefter:

Eagles flying to Arizona to interview Chip Kelly today. |

I like this
See what the Eagles say at lunch.
Make the Browns up their offer at dinner and lock it up then.
Hopefully Haslem brings some good beer. _________________
