You could put that guy at safety and he would dominate.
In all seriousness, he would be best as a 4-3 end. But he is good enough that if you have the number one pick and run a 3-4, that you would switch to a 4-3 to accommodate |
Or you teach him to play without having his hand in the dirt. A guy with that kind of build and that kind of athletic ability can transition to 3-4 OLB with relative ease. I wouldn't hesititate to select him regardless of the scheme we ran. |
That is very true as well. But if you really want to maximize his talent, you let him do his thing, which is keep him in a 4-3. If you really wanted to though, you could make him an OLB

In college football, the end zones are still "live" because the defense can score 1 point on an extra point attempt, leaving the opportunity for a Safety on the other end if/when there is a turnover in the end zone and the recovering team tries to run it out. It's a very, very rare play.

Looking forward to tonight's game. Hoping Big Game Bob actually comes up big once.
Lot of talent on display, including four 1st rders....Joeckel, Moore, Matthews, and Johnson.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to tonight's game. So far, thebBCS games have been a huge let down. This actually looks like a good match up in a non bcs game.

Been a pretty damn good game.
I know there are a lot of mixed reviews on Landry Jones, but as a developmental prospect, I'd be pretty damn happy getting him somewhere in 4th rd or so.

That is no joke. Joeckel and Matthews are simply outstanding. Would not be surprised to see them both declare and go Top 10.
