I really appreciated the Bucs philosophy in the late 90's and the turn of the century identifying a need and doing whatever it took to fill out. Did this philosophy always work? No and there were time where they overpaid to acquire talent. However, I felt good because at least they were trying.
Picking at #13, I believe it is much more likely for the Bucs to trade up for a player then trade back for a player. I'm just wondering if there is any players who will only be available in the top #5, would they do a Julio Jones type deal to get into the top 5?
Jarvis Jones?
Star?
Milliner?
Moore? | I would trade up for Moore or Star. Those guys are as close as it gets to sure bet prospects. But, will they trade up will be determined on what happens in free agency. We take care of our CB/FS needs, we have the flexibility to go ahead and get another blue chip talent to the defense. |

Honestly I can see the bucs getting 2 solid CB starters in free agency then strengthening the dline by adding a DT and DE. Star would be the dream pick scenario but I think he'll go top 3-5. Same with Moore after the combine workouts.
I still think Ansuh is going to be a special player in the nfl. |

I honestly don't see any super good prospects I want
I would much rather trade back unless star drops near 7-10ish
I like Moore but he's really young and the last player to go high who was that young was Amobi Okoye or however u spell it and he went to the texans at 10 I believe
I remember being super amped about how great he could be but his age did factor in and he never amounted to much
I think these 20yr old prospects need more time to fill out and mature more physically
Just IMO but I'd be wary of drafting Moore |

Star would be the guy, IMO. As much as I appreciate the job that Miller/Gibson did at NT this season, Star would bring this DLine up another notch. Offenses will have to game-plan around Star. He would take a lot of pressure off of McCoy.
Jarvis Jones wouldn't surprise me either, but that relies entirely on his medical. |

I know it's a year away but I'll do anything for De'Anthony Thomas. Been in love with that kid the second he stepped foot in Oregon. _________________

Interesting. Didn't expect him to declare. Really tall DB that tracks the ball well down the field.

After a monster sophomore season he bombed this year. Still like his potential at FS, though. |
Where do you think Amerson falls? I would love to take him in the 3rd. |

As it stands right now the 3rd round sounds about right, IMO. How he runs at the combine will be huge. |

I think if Amerson is truly viewed as a FS early to mid 2nd round is where he'll go. Not very fluid at CB but he's a rangy ball hawk back there. |

It's the expression that Thomas is a football player that runs track, while Demps is a track athlete that plays football
Thomas has a ton of Percy Harvin in him. He's a tougher runner then gives credit for, and a good route runner.

So I usually don't follow the draft and prospects much until after the season, but I have been doing some pedestrian research and here is my general opinion. Nothing is in any particular order:
Prospects I wouldn't mind trading up for:
Star Lolutelai
Demantre Moore (not a large trade up)
Prospects I like at #13:
Demantre Moore
Bjeorn Werner
Ezekial Ansuh
Johnthan Banks
Dee Milliner
Bradley Roby
Prospects I like if we traded back:
Dion Jordan
Johnathan Hankins
Xavier Rhodes
Ertz, Eifert, etc.
Players I really want in later rounds:
Jordan Poyer
David Amerson
TE again (there are so many good ones)
Return specialist
What do you guys think? |

Markus Wheaton is a guy I think we might end up with. He's got blazing speed and can take over slot role. With him in the senior bowl we'll get to see some great matchups between him and Banks, potentially two guys we get.
I'll get to putting more stuff up soon. Been a crazy week for me, last week of work, and prep for surgery. ALL the free time soon boys _________________
