Is it bad that I totally had no clue who our President was? I don't this character, he gives me the heeby jeebies
That being said this article states that the process could take as long as the Super Bowl
http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/sports&id=8938728
I highly doubt that it takes that long, I feel like we have to get going without personal movements and by not hiring a coach would be sitting in neutral _________________

Guess it depends if our targeted candidates make it to the Super Bowl, if our #1 guy goes all the way it could lengthen the process. _________________

Definitely like the idea of a few of those guys. Bill O'Brien is certainly interesting. |

Yea I think he is a great coach and would do well here.
But it would kill penn state.
As a fan of both I'd mixed too. But more so pissed....I want him in State College....we have other candidates.
I really don't see him leaving though. _________________

While I think he would gladly make the jump back to the NFL, I'm not sure if its actually possible. His buyout is rumored to be somewhere around $18 million dollars, and while I don't quite believe its that high, it certainly won't be cheap.
For O'Brien, the jump to the NFL should be a no brainer. He didn't know what he was getting into when he took the job. While he comes across as a loyal guy, I think a 4 year Big Ten championship ban, 4 year bowl ban, and severe scholarship reductions are enough to make him jump ship. |

Didn't BOB sign a massive contract with PSU? And has a huge buyout clause? I don't see him leaving State College...he seems like he truly wants to rebuild the program after the Sandusky scandal.
The only names on there that are meh are Koetter and Arians.....Neither would make good HCs IMO. Not an Arians fan at all. Dude lovvvees to air it out. _________________

The State of Pennsylvania is announcing that they are suing the NCAA tomorrow so the sanctions will likely be less when it's all said and done. But BOB knew we'd get sanctions.....just because it was enviable for the NCAA to try and do it.
Obrien has been truly dedicated and gotten a damn good class to commit to him and the program even with the sanctions....I don't know if he'd go to all that trouble if he'd leave so easily. _________________

I have a question, when Lurie said the coach will report directly to him and not Roseman, what exactly does that mean? _________________
