Nnamdi is 88th in the league with a Comp % allowed at 66.7%.
106th in the NFL with a 15.9 YPC avg
tied for 12th most TD's allowed with 5 TD's.
109th in the league with a QBR against of 120.6 (only 4 players worse)
He doesn't fit their system at all. His stats were top 10 in the league a few years ago. Right now, he sucks alot of stuff.

Sheldon Brown played better than Nnamdi Ashomugha this year so I don't see the improvement.
Thanks bulldog. Goldson wasn't as impressive as I would have expected but still a lot better than what we have. |
Goldson's only problem is his MT's. If he cleans that up, he good. Last year, he had 9 MT's on 1040 plays.
The guy from MIA isn't a bad option either.
I really wish we could have gotten Weddle last year. Guy is amazing. Top five in every critical stat last two years.
Byrd is the clear second best FS. Reshad Jones has been a stud for MAI this year as well.
Like I said, Byrd, Goldson, and Phillips are all great FS. We should be able to get one of them.

Schwartz, to me, would only be a good signing on the cheap. He can't win a full time job in MIN, even healthy.
But yes, I'm aware there are a few from ORE.
There's plenty of good CB's. I'm intrigued by Grimes. Could come on the cheap.

Speaking of what are you thoughts on Kory Lichtensteiger and where does he rank amoung guards? I was thinking Kyle Shanahan might get more HC sniffs this year than he has so far and hope he would be an option here with his ZBS.

My opinion is that it comes down to strength. If a player is athletic AND strong he can play well in either, but weaker yet athletic players tend to only play well in a ZBS. Of course, I’m assuming all of the players are technically sound, otherwise they tend to suck at everything.
By the way, fantastic job. I love this thread and all the great comments.

I don't have any cool stats like bulldog but I have looked up all the free agent punters and here are the 4 that seperated themselves from the pack IMO.
Kevin Huber 4th in NET and 15th in Average
Dustin Colquitt 9th in NET and 14th in Average
Pat McAfee 15th in NET and 5th in Average
Donnie Jones 13th in NET and 11th in Aveage
Kevin Huber 76 Total 7 TB 33 I20 27 Returned
Dustin Colquitt 83 Total 7 TB 45 I20 27 Returned
Pat McAfee 73 Total 8 TB 26 I20 32 Returned
Donnie Jones 88 Total 5 TB 28 I20 48 Returned
I know age doesn't really matter for a punter but
Donnie Jones will be 33
Dustin Colquitt will be 31
Kevin Huber will be 28
Pat McAfee will be 26
I hope we can land Colquitt, Huber or McAfee in free agency so we don't have to use a pick on a punter. Getting Huber will also hurt the special teams of a division rival. He could very well hit the marke too as Mike Brown refuses to pay anybody let alone a punter.

They may do that actually because it would be cheaper than franchising Andre Smith or Michael Johnson.
As long as we get 1 of the 4 them I'll be happy. We don't need an elite punter especially if we get an aggressive coach that will go for it on 4th and short. I also don't want to spend a draft pick on a punter if we don't have to do so.
