The fact that Shanahan only let RG3 throw 18 times in an absolute must-win game speaks for itself, let alone the fact he completed 9 passes and still won.
The Colts basically ride or die with Luck, and he has shouldered the load PLUS the fact that his head coach had cancer.
Luck ROY, not even a debate. Get your hype and Redskin love out of this thread. |
I consider the colts run to be a fluke, because Luck did not play well enough for them to win games. Their season is some weird anomaly. I don't think Luck deserves rookie of the year because of that. |
That's literally exactly what he did? |
I say the colts won in spite of his failures as a qb. |
You mean like the Redskins and RGIII down the stretch? You do realize since week 13 he only had 703 passing yds, 4TD in his last 4 games, missed another while watching Kirk win in his absence? Couple that with an entire division collapsing in those 5 weeks how exactly was his run not pure luck and a team winning inspite of his faliure to produce? Pot meet Kettle, Kettle meet Pot. _________________

I think Russell Wilson should win it. I thought I said that a few pages back. _________________

rookie touchdown record and he did it as a 3rd round pick not a top 2 one.
More impressive. _________________

Passing league not impressed.
Luck's team was the worst in the NFL and his coach had cancer.
I couldn't care less where Wilson was drafted nor will voters. _________________

In all honesty he deserves it more then RGIII. But like him having Skittles in the backfield will hurt him when voting comes down. When is the ROY handed out? If it's not for another two weeks or so which ever QB has more success might push them over the edge. _________________

How many of Wilson's TDs came on a short field due to a turnover forced by the D?
Not to mention the Fail Mary sized asterisk _________________

Andrew Luck's rankings: Now I won't include irrelevant stats like total yards and total completions we know luck threw it a lot that means nothing.
Andrew Luck Russel Wilson
Completion %: 54.1 % NFL Rank: 31 64.4% 8th
YPA: 6.98 NFL Rank: 17 7.93 4th
TD: 23 NFL Rank: 14 26 Tied 9th
INT: 18 NFL Rank: TIED 3rd 10 24th tied
RAT: 76.5 Rank: 26 100 4th
Andrew Luck is the most overrated qb in nfl history. He did not have anything coming close to a good season. Those are ugly numbers. |
I don't think russell is that crazy, he did better than luck at everything. _________________

RGIII's going to win RoY, I don't even think that's really a question. He plays for the highest profile team of the 3, has the prettiest stats and has already been voted to the Pro Bowl _________________

This so much.
But Luck had Vick Ballard, Donald Brown and Delone Carter carrying the ball.
Russell Wilson has Marshawn Lynch.
RGIII had Alfred Morris.
Luck kinda had to throw the ball because his RBs kinda suck. _________________

The only answer....
We could argue this til we are blue in the face. But I agree with what Nabbs said I could see them pulling some crap like making Luck & Griffen co-OROY _________________

| The Colts running backs would probably have performed better if they were starting for the Redskins this year. The last several offensive staffs for the Colts aren't strong in coaching the running game. |

Even though they suck. I don't think helping their case was Winston Justice, A.Q. Shipley and Mike McGlynn starting. _________________
