Those two have been phenomenal tonight. |
I've said for awhile that Hopkins is my #2/#3 WR in this draft - the kid is an absolute stud. He play huge, has great hands, and just shows up, something we lack. _________________

I'm highly interested in Barkevious Mingo as a strong side linebacker prospect. His length, point of attack experience, physicality and incredible athleticism make him a very intriguing prospect to switch to SLB. _________________

I'm getting more and more intrigued with Jarvis Jones. If he is cleared medically (and I know Roseman and the personnel team will do their due diligence), then he could be that difference maker we haven't had on defense for a long while. _________________

I'm not too big a fan of Boyd given what I've seen. Did he have an exceptional game and skillset outside of height? Absolutley, but he underthrows almost all of deep balls, and he never comes off his first read. That said, the deep ball thing to me isn't a big worry because he has a good arm, but the inability to go through progressions and come off his first read will have NFL defenses licking their chops. _________________

I wouldn't mind us just upgrading the defense this offseason, provided our coach on offense runs the football. We have 3 starting lineman coming back, and if you can add a RG or RT via free agency like Vollmer or Vasquez then you have a strong enough line to create holes for your two backs.
Focus on building the defense, whether its a 4-3 or a 3-4, here in Philadelphia, as you have several scheme diverse youngsters on the roster. Cox, Thorton, Graham, Kendricks, and potentially Curry (I don't see it personally, but there were people last year who said he could do it) all have 3-4 potential.
A running game combined with a good defense and a QB to manage the game (Foles) can win in the NFL, and it has in the past. Next offseason re-build the offense, but right now we need defense in the worst way. _________________

I hope like heck he is cleared...it fixes our problem at #4 because we'd have Star, Moore, or Jones to pick from most likely.
I'm all for drafting him #4 if he's cleared. Guy is what the top 5 picks are supposed to be. Strong, Fast, Violent. To me in two years time if we drafted him we'd go from the worst linebacking starters in 2011 to potentially one of the leagues best with Jones-Demeco-Kendricks at the Sam-Mike-Will in 2013. Coupled with our Dline we'd have a pretty talented front 7 to help out the work in progress in the secondary.
Jones will be a hell of a pro for as long as he plays in the league. But yea the Medical will need to check out. _________________

Agreed.
Given how poorly we've valued LBs in the past, and the fact there is a trend for game changing LBs in the 43 it would make a statement of the new age in Philadelphia. _________________

^Then it better be a defensive minded HC that is hired. Otherwise I don't see it happening. What was Jones's injury? I'm tired of and want no part of any players with major injuries in their past. _________________
