| I also want you all to know: you're all terrible at doing adopt-a-bear. If I knew that I was just going to have some player's name in my sig and never update stats or anything, I wouldn't do it. |

You're thinking of Australia. We're only across the pond, sometimes if you look hard enough you can see us all prancing about and drinking tea. _________________

| Quote: | | Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of 11 players on a field, at the centre of which is a rectangular 22-yard long pitch. One team bats, trying to score as many runs as possible while the other team bowls and fields, trying to dismiss the batsmen and thus limit the runs scored by the batting team. A run is scored by the striking batsman hitting the ball with his bat, running to the opposite end of the pitch and touching the crease there without being dismissed. The teams switch between batting and fielding at the end of an innings. |
| Quote: | | Crickets, family Gryllidae (also known as "true crickets"), are insects somewhat related to grasshoppers, and more closely related to katydids or bush crickets (family Tettigoniidae) and Weta (families Anostostomatidae and Rhaphidophoridae). They have somewhat flattened bodies and long antennae. There are about 900 species of crickets. They tend to be nocturnal[1] and are often confused with grasshoppers because they have a similar body structure including jumping hind legs. Crickets are harmless to humans. |

Moving the "should I go to college" topic where it belongs, I will say that I learned as much about myself and about dealing with real life during college as I did books wise. I say that as a guy who got a business degree and minors in both communication and mass communication. A factor in that for me was that I moved 2000 miles away from my family for college knowing that I was throwing myself into the deep end of the pool with no real safety net. For me, that was the best way for me to transition from a high schooler to an adult. It came at a price - I have student loans that (outside of this moderating thing all of a sudden becoming a paying gig) I won't have paid off until my oldest son is driving. He's 3, and I have been out of college for 8 years. But again, that was the best choice for me when I was 18 and it worked out well for me.
I will also say that my employer (a national company with whom you are all familiar and who employs some 12,000 people) will not even interview a person without a degree for anything other than a clerical or admin position regardless of experience.
My suggestion - sit down with your family and figure out what's best for you given what you want to do with your life. If you want to be in corporate America then you probably need to go to college, but that doesnt have to be a 4 year university. If you want to be a skilled laborer then there are secondary education options that aren't at a university. If you're not sure then you could take some community college general ed classes on the cheap while you figure that out, or you could take some time away. People have succeeded or failed in life in all of these avenues, so ultimately it comes down to you deciding what you think will work for you and then work your butt off doing it well. _________________
