Not really. That was an NFC championship team with one of the league's top three to five defenses. Nothing indicates that Minnesota is anything but a fringe playoff team whereas that Chicago team was easily one of the league's best. _________________

Didn't Antonio brown do that last year? |
He had 1000 combined kick and punt return yards, I was speaking strictly kick return yards. _________________

If the Vikings to go the NFCCG, I'll eat my shoe. I'll eat all of your shoes.

They're not that good. | I understand your original point, but please don't bring up the fact that the Bears made it to the NFCCG as a sign of how good they were. Getting a bye at 11-5 is not really a sign of dominance, beating the Seahawks that year wasn't a sign of one as well.
EDIT:
http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teameff2010
2010 Bears DVOA - 2.4%
http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teameff2012
2012 Vikings DVOA as of Week 16 - -0.8%
Almost the same. _________________

I'm actually not scared to face them at this point (something I wouldn't have said a few weeks ago, go figure)... at this rate, they would be hobbled going into the playoffs even if they do miraculously get in somehow, and teams that limp into the playoffs usually don't get very far, see: us last year, Eagles in 2010.
Plus, we were without Matthews, and playing our 1st game without Bulaga, and they were well-rested coming off of a bye week and getting Nicks back, at home, talk about a perfect storm going against us that game. We've seemed to adjust to playing without him since then, we only gave up 1 sack last week against a pretty good (though not great) Titans D-Line. And our defense has been playing extremely well the last couple of weeks since Matthews came back, which has been our Achiles Heel playing against them the last couple games... giving up under 200 yards against a pretty good Bears offense is nothing to scoff at, even at home. Hell, we tried to let them back into the game, and they couldn't capitalize.
Having said that... bring on the Vikes! |

I bet they rest Cobb. Though it would be nice for him to have the first of many thousand yard seasons at the age of 22...he really doesnt NEED to play.
Nelson and Jennings need to get some good reps in. Jennings timing is off and Jordys wasnt the best in his few games back. I would like to see Rodgers air it out to keep the hot hand but most likely were going to see alot of Ryan Grant/Harris. First round bye sure would be nice to get everyone healthy.
If we stop Peterson from getting 200 yards and 3 tds, we win by double digits. |

And please don't try and say the Vikings are on the same level as that Bears team defensively. Damn tomorrow needs to get here already. Really want to get this game started and the Packers to crush them. |
