I'm pretty surprised by this. I know the NFL won't comment on it, but it seems he must have had some of the most ridiculous supporting evidence in the history of the league in order to win this appeal. Though I will stress that this does not exonerate him or mean he didn't actually use adderall. It just means that the league knows it couldn't win this fight, which never stopped them from suspending anyone else, so kudos to Sherman for taking the right path to victory. I tend to believe Sherman that he didn't use anything just based on his behavior, but at this point it doesn't really matter. All that matters is that he beat the rap and he's available for the playoffs. Hopefully it's more than one and done, lol.

This is how I feel. He was adamant about the fact that he was innocent and falsely accused. Whereas Browner sat back and took his suspension, Sherman was on the attack from the second it was announced.

Good point was brought up on the radio earlier today. I'm sure a big part of the reason why Sherman won this case is because he's a Stanford grad. I'm sure that ability of critical thinking helped him greatly while defending himself during the appeal process.

Absolutely. The ability to think critically is one of the most important abilities that a person can develop. I would bet it helped him greatly in not only the way he chose to fight this accusation, but also how he handled it with the media. I have noticed that most guys use their lawyers to craft an eloquent statement and then they hide behind it and defer comment on it in person. Sherman seemed to be more aggressive in fighting this, but he did it without seeming irrational or overly emotional even though I would imagine that this kind of attack on one's character must be enraging if it is indeed false.

Well as everyone knows, the story is that the chain of custody was broken, yet the test results came back positive.

I would think it is no coincidence that one player has a history of using PEDs, and promptly decides not to appeal. While simultaneously, another player in the same locker room with a squeaky clean history, is incredibly adamant regarding his innocence right off the bat.

Putting those two logic pieces of the story/situation together, it would make sense that Sherman was truthful in his appeal and did not have PEDs in his system.

What surprised me though, is that the NFL generally doesn't care as much about the facts as it does about it's perceived image, so they tend to ignore the facts and opt for harsher punishments as a means of showing that they are doing everything to protect their image and if they harm the reputation of possibly innocent players then that is just collateral damage and they have shown they are willing to live with that.
