Gosh, don't like this argument at all. One of the announcers said it too when the guy got flagged for helmet to helmet on Brady. In both cases the player pretty deliberately led with their helmet. Then someone else ran into them. If they don't lead with their head, nobody gets hit on the head. Plain and simple.

FWIW, Belichick said pretty much the same thing in the post game presser

Anyone else notice this: on that 3rd down at 7:50 in the 4th quarter, where Brady missed Hernandez, Derek Cox slipped and fell when Lloyd made his cut, but Brady was locked in on Hernandez.

Still better than being a Jags fan.

Thanks to a family gathering yesterday and NFL Rewind, I only have to watch the plays that I want to watch!

Chung's defenseless receiver penalty was lame.

The penalty or the hit that caused it?

If you're going to give receivers so much protection, you might as well allow DBs to make contact within 10 yards.

The penalty. He didn't even really lunge at the receiver. He just ran toward him and the receiver's head happened to come down on Chung's shoulder.

We got a similar break on a roughing the passer earlier so I'll take it.

I'd like to break Chung's stupid face right about now. Put Shorts on IR with his bush league crap. He's a bad joke at this point, I really hope the Pats part ways with him after the season and bring in a real talent at the safety position.

Assuming McCourty stays at FS, how likely is it that they bring in a high priced or highly drafted SS after spending a 2nd rounder on Wilson and signing Gregory to a 3 year deal?

I could see another Gregory type (2nd or 3rd tier veteran) but I doubt we'll see a big time talent added unless they're moving McCourty back to CB
