The Cowboys–Redskins rivalry is a rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins in the National Football League's NFC East division. Sports Illustrated called it the top NFL rivalry of all time and "one of the greatest in sports."[3] During the tenure of this rivalry, the two franchises have won 27 combined division titles and eight combined Super Bowls.[4] They are the two wealthiest franchises in the NFL.[5] The rivalry started in 1960 when the Cowboys joined the league as an expansion team.[6] During that year they were in separate conferences, but played once during the season. In 1961, Dallas was placed in the same division as the Redskins, and from that point on, they have played each other twice in every regular season.

| Quote: | Cowboys Wide Receiver Miles Austin against Redskins Cornerback DeAngelo Hall:
I have a strong feeling that Jim Haslett is going to try and take Dez Bryant out of this game with coverage when the Cowboys go with their three wide receiver package which means that Miles Austin is going to need to find ways to win out of the slot against DeAngelo Hall. Haslett has to like this matchup because Hall is his best cover guy.
With the way that Romo has played here recently, he will not force the ball into coverage and will generally take what is given to him. If the Redskins are committing coverage Bryant’s way then he will finds ways to get the ball to Austin, Witten and Harris. Hall is one of those corners that likes to gamble and take chances but he is talented enough to get away with it. Hall will play Austin with a physical style which Austin has seen before and will be no surprise. This Cowboys offense really struggled on third downs last week against the Saints.
During their six game winning streak, the Redskins on defense are still only 43 percent on third downs which ranks them 31st in the league. The Cowboys cannot afford another game where they only convert at 20 percent and to be better than that they are going to need Austin to be at his best against Hall. Austin is one of the best route runners on the squad and against Hall he is going to have to find ways to get open. Watch this matchup very closely.

Oh sorry that is true, but that could only happen if the Cardinals beat the 49ers. With how awful the QB situation is for the Cardinals I can not see them pulling off the win over San Fran. However after tonights game I would much rather see us play the 49ers. _________________

Trust me... you want to win. Seeing sad Eli is definitely worth a couple slots in the draft. _________________ Quote from May 7, 2013...

In rematches the second half of the first game is often a preview of the second game. On T'giving the skins scored 10 points then but the Cowboys scored 18.
Something to think about..... |

Our seasons have come down to this at least a couple times the last few years. Everyone remembers @ Philly, and of course the Giants last season. So now we get our shot at the Skins. On Sunday night football, too.
This is going to be an awesome game, and I do think we have a shot to win even though it'll be tough, but this is what we're fans for right here.
Personally I can't wait. Hopefully Rob and Jason make the necessary adjustments from last game. _________________

They're a different team away from Seattle, that place is truly the 12th man. _________________
