Now back to Vick, I'm not gonna lie if we do sign him there will be an electricity in the air that we have never had. If he's gonna turn the ball over like he did this year I don't want him. Turnovers is what kills us. If we played with a lead we might actually have a pass rush but sing we are always behind our defense is always playing the run.
Vick was a turnover machine to start the year but that was an anomaly. 9 of those turnovers he had in the first 4 games when the team won three of those games on game winning drives
And honestly who averages that many turnovers over a couse of a season? No one. Not even Jamarcus Russell. It was an anomaly that got overblown by the media. And when the Eagles started losing more and more games they highlighted the total turnovers even more ignoring the fact that he was actually significantly cutting down on his turnovers per game. He went from the whopping 3 a game in their wins to 1 or less in the losing streak of 5+ games.
And again Nick Foles right now has more turnovers than tds in his play as well because the Eagles Oline is horrible and is exacerbated by a coaching staff that thinks it's smart to pass the ball 40-50 times a game behind a putrid Oline
That's why Nick Foles has been sacked 18 times in 6 starts despite the fact that they are calling more plays to get the ball out of his hands quicker.
On a team with a much better offensive line and a total commitment to the running game, Vick's turnovers would be dramatically reduced. Not to mention the chip he has on his shoulder without that $100 million dollar contract. He will be as cautious with the football as he was when he was trying to wrestle the job from Kolb in 2010
