| Quote: | | DeMarcus Ware's fourth quarter roughing-the-passer penalty last Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers did not cost the Dallas Cowboys, but it ultimately cost the All-Pro linebacker $15,750, according to a source. Ware was fined by the NFL for his hit on Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. |
| Quote: | | Running back DeMarco Murray was fined $7,875 for a face mask that was not called as a penalty on a first-quarter run, according to a source. |

Okay now the Ware fine, I have no problem with. He didn't mean it at all, but he did punch Roethlisberger right on the helmet, that's worthy of a fine.
My problem lies with the Murray fine. He supposedly facemasked a guy which didn't get called and gets fined for it. Uhh, what?! I don't see how they could fine him for that just because the refs missed it? If they called the face mask during the game do you think Murray would have still gotten fined? _________________

| I don't think the league should fine anyone like this unless the play was dangerous to another player. Ware's fine I'm ok with, but Murray's wasn't dangerous. It simply prevented the guy from making a tackle. |

| The thing is what murray did is not really a fineable act. It was wrong and it should have been called, but if it had been called we wouldnt even be having this conversation. This league is terribly inconsistent with its fines and suspensions. |

When I saw the topic I thought Murray was being fined for mooning the tv audience. _________________

This is absolutely absurd. Ware's fine is acceptable but Murray's isn't and there is no way to justify it being so. _________________
