Are we really going to sign a FA left tackle? Doubtful especially with the way Emery operates I think we'll draft one even if he is sub par in talent (Sam Baker of ATL comes to mind). _________________

I think they are in a different class.
I wonder if they have the money to invest in Levitre maybe that is why they resigned Urbik first? _________________

The contract at 4 year $15 million sets the market for Lance Louis at around $12 million over 4 years if we choose to offer that long a contract with him coming off of injury. | Ya that sounds about right. |

Bushrod is the most realistic target IMO...he is a consistent player who would be an upgrade at LT. |

What do you think Bushrod commands a season 7 million?
4 years 30 million/15 guaranteed _________________

It’s always tough to predict contract figures…especially without know who else is going to hit the market…but I would say something along the lines 5 years $33 million with $15-$18 million guaranteed. |

If we could get him for anywhere between 6-8 million I think it is a solid investment.
I think if we can address LT in free agency it allows us to do many positive things,
1. Have Webb and Scott compete at RT.
2. Allow us to draft OG in the draft where we should be looking at some awesome value with Cooper or Warmack.
3. Allow us to possibly trade down while targeting interior OL. _________________

Even if we sign Bushrod and don't go into the draft needing a LT I think that we really become flexible.
Trade Down: The Bears trade 1(20) to someone in the late 1st for 1(2 and a 3rd round pick. This is similar to the Patriots trading up with the Bengals for Chandler Jones.
1(2 OG Dallas Thomas (Tennessee) 6'5" 320lbs.
Gives us an athletic LG who played 3 years at LT in the SEC.
2(52) LB Kasheem Greene (Rutgers) 6'1" 235lbs.
A fast LB with great leadership skills.
3. TE Jordan Reed (Florida) 6'3" 255lbs
An athletic TE that cannot block but with more development can by dynamic in the pass game.
4. C Dalton Freeman (Clemson) 6'5" 295lbs
A big physical developmental C.
5. CB Sheldon Price (UCLA) 6'2" 200lbs
A big physical CB.
6. WR/KR Lanear Sampson (Baylor) 5'11" 190lbs
A replacement for Hester and Knox. _________________

I like Dallas Thomas he has an ideal blend of size and athletic ability and good pass pro technique.
I know he is not a killer in the run game like Larry Warford, who I also like, but that is starting to fade from importance. _________________

| Quote: | Impending free agent LG Andy Levitre made it clear while cleaning out his locker on Monday that he intends to shop for the best offer on the market this offseason.
The Bills opened preliminary talks in the offseason, but they went nowhere. A picture of durability on an oft-injured offensive line, Levitre has started 64 consecutive games since entering the league as the 51st overall pick in the 2009 draft. Levitre is Rotoworld's No. 1 ranked guard on the market this year. He should attract plenty of suitors if the Bills don't re-sign him before free agency kicks off. |
We should make a strong push here. |
