A helpful demonstration of the 'Uncle Cam is Drunk Herp Derp Air Coryell' system and the razor thin margin it forces us to operate with. There's just no balance at all. Instead of using the short game to set up the big play, we just try to set up the big play with the big play. When everything is clicking it's impossible to stop (see: Oakland game), but it's also not hard to see why we lead the NFL in 3 and outs. And it's going to be hard to sport a good completion percentage when your chucking it deep almost once every 5 throws. |
And people still call him "Captain Checkdown"

Random fact. Saw an article about him not having a good season. Pretty sure if he does get 4K and 23 TDs it'd be his best.
