Yup. I about put my fist through my TV.
I can't stand the dumbassery we have for coaches. |
The play was fine. Had Locker kept the ball, it was a first down.
Blaming a perfectly fine play call when execution is the problem is probably our season in a nutshell. |

It was a dumb play call. It was 3rd and 1. No need to do anything dumb like that. Run the ball with Quinn with a FB dive or run the ball up the middle with CJ. _________________

It was a play call that would have got a first down if executed properly. Nothing dumb about it. |

Am I the only one who is absolutely baffled as to how we have managed our offensive line injuries?
More specifically, why is it that Fernando Velasco was moved to guard? He has chemistry with Jake and is clearly our best option there, I don't know why Matthews took over at C and when he went down, I simply am completely confused as to why DeVan, who has primarily been a G in his career, played C instead of Velasco just sliding back. _________________

I'm not sure. But I trust Munch and Matthews enough for them to know where they fit best. Maybe Velasco is the most athletic, for pulling purposes? |

Wyatt said they are moving Velasco back to C and putting DeVan at G. Our coaches are complete imbeciles. _________________

The reason why Velasco was at G and Matthews at C is due to the fact Matthews best position is C. As to why Velasco didn't slide over to C when Matthews went down, I have no idea and honestly I don't think our coaching staff does either.
Does anyone know how serious Matthews injury was? _________________

No way, did you see him trying to block in space last night? If he's the best we've got then we need to take those plays completely out of the book. |

Our offensive line was doing really well/gelling together as the year went on. Roos bounced back from a rough start. Stewart continued his success. Hutchinson was great. Velasco played very well at center. Harris was average, but not a weakpoint.
Then everything just imploded thanks to injuries. |

I felt as though Lutui was an upgrade over Harris at RG. Not sure on Velasco as I didn't get to watch all of our games but if CJ's production was any indicator then yes our Oline began to gel and got better with age. Then again not sure if it was that or the sub par competition _________________

14 Total penalties. A large sum of those were momemtum and drive stoppers, a few of them extending the drive for the Jets on third down.
5 forced turnovers and ZERO points off turnovers. Nearly every one of the interceptions put us at the 50 or inside and we didn't even come away with a field goal. Partially do to nasty penalties described above.
10 punts.. ...... .......
The team looks like they are on their own out there and even though they got the win, they looked embarassing on national TV during Monday Night Football.
It's looking like Munchak may not be back. |
