@MMehtaNYDN
Next domino in Jets QB situation: Tim Tebow will request to be traded/released after season assuming McElroy starts last 2 games, per source

This was expected. The move can't happen soon enough for the Jets. I hope someone trades a draft pick for him. I could see Shahid Khan wanting to bring Tebow Time to Jacksonville.

***UPDATE***

Tebow to Jacksonville?

Quote:
League sources say it is a virtual certainty Tim Tebow will land a job back home with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013.

Good for him. I've never been a fan, but he deserves better than he was done in New York.

Sadly, if he gets released, it seems inevitable that he comes to Jacksonville. Le sigh.

Good for him. Hope he can rid himself of the horrible Jets organization.

Yep. Hate Tebow as an NFL QB but he seems to have been hoodwinked by the Jets. I would want no part of that terrible team right now either.

Not if the Jags trade a draft pick for him first.

I have a feeling you blame Tebow more than Sanchez for your team being trash. Tebow has a ton of issues as a QB, but he isn't a bad player.

It is more Mark's fault, but I blame the FO more for Tebow than Sanchez. We needed a franchise QB, so we took what we thought to be one in the first round. The only reason why we traded for Tebow was for money and publicity.

I'm not trying to indict anyone specifically, but the extent to which Sanchez was defended and given pass after pass by some Jets fans all the while cursing Tebow as a player has been downright laughable. Sachez was clearly a sinking ship, and rather than try to use a lifeboat that may or may not have saved the team, the team and fanbase decided to go down with the ship. I really don't get it.

I've never been a fan of Tebow, but if we had landed him, I would have preferred him play over Henne when Gabbert went down. And the only reason I wouldn't have been calling for Tebow with Gabbert's struggles would have been solely because we needed to evaluate the situation for the future. Not so the case with the Jets, everyone should have known by midseason that Sanchez was done.

Better sooner than later, he can get back to working as a QB rather than whatever the Jets tried to make him. They really took a step backwards in his development. Nothing Irreversible though, hope he gets a good shot.

I wouldn't trade for Tebow, especially not with the circus that follows him.

I would love nothing more than to see him twice a year in Cleveland; it'll give me more reason to enjoy watching him get destroyed.

No one is giving Sanchez a break at all. Everyone knows that he is an awful player. I still preferred Sanchez over Tebow because we have Sanchez under contract for next year and going to a full-time gimmick offense does nothing to help our team going forward.

We have McElroy starting now and he is the best option on our team. I don't think he is a long-term starter, but he is the only QB we have that I would want to see on the roster next season.
