| Quote: | Western Michigan University's month-long search for its next football coach is over.
The school is expected to hire Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers coach P.J. Fleck as its next head football coach on Tuesday, multiple sources have told the Kalamazoo Gazette.
Those sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because the announcement is pending. |
If true it's a big loss. I loved his energy. Mike Williams has enjoyed a nice bounce back season with Fleck coaching him. _________________

Sad to see him go, heard nothing but great things and it showed results with Underwood, Williams, and Jackson.
But he obviously was deserving of this opportunity. Best of luck. |

As a fan, it is a loss, but congrats to P.J on his promotion. Certainly interesting that in Coach Schiano's first year in the pros already one of his assistants becomes a head coach. On the other hand, I believe we will be waiting quite a bit longer for an assistant being named head coach from the Coach Morris staff.
With a longer offseason, I fully expect Coach Schiano to adequately fill P.J's spot and other shall we say underachieving assitants. |

Other than Schiano he was my favorite coach so I dont want to see him go, but he deserves it. Seemed like a great guy with a ton of energy and obviously did a great job with the WRs this year. _________________
