Twins, twins, twins. Some of you guys have a one track mind! This is a Vikings site, not a Twins site. Wink

Think that Maur deal is going to come back to bite you all. I know the Redsox are interested.

Wish the Cardinals could get some SS help.

Once Morneau comes off the books, Mauer deal won't be that bad, add to the fact that for what he did last year he was actually paid about what he was worth, maybe just a tiny bit more. However, unless he hits 20+ HR's everyone will continue to say it is a very bad deal.

I was talking in terms of staying healthy, and being on the field. Playing catcher is super tough on the knees. I think in a couple years you will have to move him to first. His defense makes it so that his contract is valid now, but that won't last much longer imo.

And because UB complained about twins.

He played in 147 games last year (or something right around that)which is the most in his career and split between catcher, first, and DH. They are already beginning to limit his games catching.

Led the league in OBP too, so I'll think he'll be fine.

I just finished a GM mock. My depth chart ended up as:

QB| Christian Ponder | Matt Cassell | Joe Webb | McLeod Bethel-Thompson
RB| Adrian Peterson | Toby Gerhart | Jordan Todman | Jerome Felton
TE| Kyle Rudolph | John Carlson | Rhett Ellison | Allen Reisner
FL| Miles Austin | Jerome Simpson
SE| Quinton Patton | Nate Burleson
SL| Percy Harvin | Jarius Wright

LT| Matt Kalil | Charlie Johnson
LG| Oscar Johnson | Demarcus Love
C| John Sullivan
RG| Geoff Schwartz | Brandon Fusco
RT| Phil Loadholt

DE| Jared Allen | Everson Griffen | Kyle Vanden Bosch
DT| Glenn Dorsey | Letroy Guion | Fred Evans
DT| Kevin Williams | Christian Ballard
DE| Brian Robison | D’Aundre Reed

OLB| Chad Greenway | Erin Henderson
MLB| C.J. Mosley | Audie Cole
OLB| Arthur Brown | Brandon Siler

CB| Chris Cook | Antoine Winfield | Marcus Sherels
CB| Josh Robinson | AJ Jefferson | Alphonso Smith
FS| T.J. McDonald | Mistral Raymond | Jamarca Sanford
SS| Harrison Smith | Robert Blanton

K| Blair Walsh
P| Chris Kluwe
LS| Cullen Loeffler

Note there was no free agency or future picks traded. Thoughts?

I don't think Vandebosch or Cassel add anything at this point, and we still lack a proper DT (Dorsey is a bit of a gamble at this point).

Like the additions on at DB/LB and the reciever corps, though I'm not a big fan of Miles Austin, but he's loads better than what we've got going on right now.

Thoughts on trading a 4th round pick for WR Jeremy Maclin.

It's been a long week. I'm ready to get off work so I can go home and get some sleep. Going out to dinner tonight at some Italian place the wife wants to try. I love living in Atlanta. Such an underrated city!

Everson Griffen having way too much fun at the expense of his teammates.

I've never lived in the south. What do you like about Atlanta that makes it a great place to live?

I've been watching all these episodes of A Football Life and wondering when we'll see one featuring the Vikings. The Lions have had 2 already.

Is my sig the new Madden curse? Both teams have had terrible luck with injuries to key players this year.

Possible, but both teams had serious issues coming into the season.
