We are going to be spending alot of cash in free agency this year. Most if it will go to our own players because there really isnt a huge name free agent this year unless you consider avril a huge name. But we will be bringing in a couple guys. That should tell us what positions we are targeting. I would like us to pickup avril because i think he is better than any of the draft prospects, and the cb derek cox. Then we stand pat in the draft and take te'o. I doubt he is a perennial pro bowler, but he will be solid. If he is gone i want warmack who i think is capable of pro bowl level play, or eric reid. I like reid more rhan most, and dislike dion jordan more than most. If we miss on levitre and warmack we have to sign a guard, i cant watch our guard play for another year. _________________

I'd like to get Keenan Lewis and Michael Johnson in free agency, but I think Pittsburgh will tender Lewis, and it would mean we stole two key players from division rivals. that's almost unheard of. _________________

Wait ...is this the Alex Smith who SF was looking to replace with Manning over the summer and the guy who currently is not starting in favor of Kaepernick??
Yeah ..that sounds about like the kind of move the Browns would make.
No thanks |

I'm pretty sure Keenan Lewis is an unrestricted free agent. He was restricted last season and tendered to a 1 year deal. _________________

If that's the case, would be awesome. The guy is balling out this year. _________________

I thought he was a bust and while he's still not as productive as you'd expect out of a former #1 overall pick, he's become an above average quarterback. Still, the Browns are better off sticking with Weeden. If they were to go in a different direction at quarterback, they should go after a younger quarterback with more potential than Alex Smith.
As for trading down... Cleveland's biggest chance at trading down is if a team wants to trade up for a QB like Barkley. Although he's had a disappointing season, he'll still likely be a top 5-10 pick so depending on what the standings are at the end of the season, a team in need of a quarterback might need to trade up. I'm definitely interested in trading down, especially if the Browns aren't able to draft Jones, Teo or Moore. If they miss out on those players, then they'll ideally be able to trade down and draft somone such as Dion Jordan. |
I'd rather Millner Banks or Rhodes @CB than Jordan @LB. |
You mean DE? And I haven't seen enough of Banks or Rhodes to say if I like them or not. I think I rather sign a veteran cornerback, though. | No I mean at LB, as that is what he plays _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!
