I'd say 3rd round pick. In most years that have even a handful of decent ILB options, this position goes later then any fans ever think. _________________

I'm not sure i buy CB being a higher need then ILB anymore. |
Well ILB is more important in that we have to find somebody, but CB remains of higher importance to acquire a high quality player. _________________

Your Denver hatred is borderline pathological. I don't think my girlfriend cheating on me would cause me as much hate as you have for Denver. |

How old is Johnson? 30? How much does he have left before he starts to decline? 2-3 years? The Chiefs should have an established ILB to take over defensive coordination by then - so I think ILB is pretty high on their shopping list. They have noone waiting in the wings with Belcher gone.
Short term, I agree, CB may be the bigger need. From a long term perspective I think ILB is.
It will depend on who's available when the Chiefs call a number. There should be good ones in both the second & third round. Don't forget: The Chiefs will have TWO 3rd rounders this year (the Brandon Carr compensatory pick). |

this is another reason to take Arthur. _________________

Borland from WI is another mid round prospect that I think could jump some after the combine. A guy who is always around the ball, but might be a tad under-sized. I think he could also drop because of some injury issues. He's a guy that will be interesting to see where he falls.
I think if he falls to the 4th/5th depending on what we've drafted before, he'd be an awesome back-up for DJ right now, and killer on special teams. |
