1 gap 4-3 that we played back when andy first got here. |
And Hugh Douglas was on the team. _________________

So glad we're done with that wide 9 bs, it'll be great to have an actual scheme (one that's worked with worse LBs) for our D-line and for them to have direction and structure as opposed to some stupid gimmick run up the field bs. Having the talent we do on the Dline (and LBs really), I def expect that to be an area of strength pretty soon. _________________

1 gap!!!!!!!
The end of the 2 gap Jim Johnson era was the worst.. great defensive coordinator and all but we forget how dumb and awful the 2 gap system was.. so bad we had to go get a Jim Washburn.. thank god we went full circle.. with what talent we have on this roster 1 gap makes the most sense. _________________

Oddly enough Mike Patterson was actually drafted to fit this scheme, but then Brasher retired and we implemented a new 2 gap scheme and patterson had to get bigger. _________________

And half the teams in top 10 defense is 4-3, talent/execution >>>> 3-4 or 4-3 _________________
