I know what you mean Laughing

You just made Pikachu cry, he should have one and emmy for his performance!

But seriously, that movie is the greatest movie to me. It showed that anime can deliver on the big screen.

I remember seeing that in a packed theater...t'was awesome

That was the first movie I saw by myself, parents dropped me off and I just watched it back to back. One of the few times the experience matched the hype in my life.

His favorite actor and cult icon of his generation growing up like all guido american was BOBBBBAAAAY-D! Robert De Niro.. soo we watched a lot of guido movies growing up specially anything with Robert De Niro.. But hes honest to god the greatest actor ever and usually Italians in general make great movies!! Soo i have high Italian standard when it comes to movies.. Best movies ever.. Raging Bull, Godfather Series, Taxi Driver, Deer Hunter, Mean Streets, King of Comedy, One Upon a Time in America, Heat , Casino, Good Fellas..

Speaking of movies...Girls have ruined movies for me ..girls have ruined a lot of things for me and in general are horrible people who will ruin things but have amazing butts... but omg have you noticed married guy picks up "Tuesday Matinee" self-alone time.. they pick Tuesday for the cheap pop corn and lack of attractive women who would see them alone shoveling pop corn down there throat hahaha some times if there best friend can get away from his wife or they are both on a Tuesday Matinee schedule off the same major high way they will catch a movie together.. but its usually some me time.. they might even sneak it in before they hit home and say they were "held up at work" just to have a secret even the most innocent one... so if they get caught .. its just a movie for the pop corn.. and it is just the movie for the pop corn and the whole shoveling effect..

No matter how smart, how dope, cool, fresh to death, illest ever, so much like you everz..All girls secretly have terrible taste in movies-music-tv-books-entertainment-in general taste...and that goes for the house to... the best interior decorators in the world are men...

Women are master are supporting crappy entertainment and untalented people...

My dad made me watch war movies growing up. A bridge too far, Tora Tora Tora, Gettysburg (which he was in), and all the rest. I saw Saving Private Ryan I think a day or two before The Pokemon movie...it just came out on DVD. The opening was just crazy for 9 year old me....not scary or anything...it was just "Oh so these kinda movies are a thing." Only other thing he "made" me watch was like Monty Python and Black Adder.

All those movies you listed off Sixtah I got into on my own when I was around 13/14. That's when I really started watching movies to appreciate them... so obviously I had to watch those. I had the old blockbuster pass and would walk down every other day and exchange 3 for a new 3....which was the best thing going pre Netflix.....seems archaic now ha

Oh my god Kilty , War Movies with our dad generation is a big deal...your dad a baby boomer!? my dad took me to Saving Private Ryan too as a kid Shocked ... people were puking and crying and running out in the theater... epic... Cool.... i remember trying to go to sleep as a kid and remember the dude pushing his intestines back in and in the background was a dude looking for his arm..

Hamburger Hill was another movie like that , that was to much for me as a kid .. i was cool.. until.. i laid down at night ya know what i mean!

Dont get me started on Seven and Stigmata... Crying or Very sad

Was your dad into Platoon? Apocalypse Now? Deer Hunter?

Yea He was like a tail end baby boomer...he's big into it...ww2 and civil war reeenactment level....that's why he was in Gettysburg because they didn't need to outfit those guys.....they knew they were already historically accurate. He gets shot in the mouth somewhere in that Laughing

Hes the Reason I'm in a couple Natgeo documentaries because they needed a young face and most of those guys are 45 or older.

Yea that beach scene opened my eyes a lot....I didn't see it in theater but I can only imagine. Like I said I saw it like maybe a day or two before the Pokemon movie...so my hype for that masked it but like for a week after I kept thinking about it more and more. It was really the start, not the only cause though, of how I got to be so mature as a kid. Like everyone was talking Pokemon movie in school.....and I was just thinking about those scenes...then linking it back to that kind of stuff really happened in real life all the time and was happening now some places.

Yea he loves Apocalypse Now...so much so that I can't believe I forgot to mention it. He plays/hums Ride of the Valkyries I swear at least once a day when I'm with him. Platoon he watches but it isn't a mainstay. Band of Brothers came out around that time...I remember watching that with him on HBO and we usually rewatch it if I'm home for an extended period of time.

Yea I can imagine seeing Seven when it came out back then was rough, I think I saw that when I was 15?...but that actually is one of my favorite movies. And I actually think I haven't seen Stigmata.
