I think that a lot of teams might actually try to do this more and more with the salary cap floor. It prevents teams from overpaying to keep a player and letting the team determine his value instead of the free agency market determining his value. |
definitely. This is how the cap floor affects teams like us and the cowboys. A team like the bills who used to not want to spend much $ on free agents, now have to do so be auss the have to stay above the salary cap floor. It's very smart of them to spend their $$ on a drafted, home developed pro bowlrr. If he was on the skins, I'd want us to lock him up also. I hope we do the same with guys like Orakpo.
