My wife is a social worker and wishes she worked in Houston so she could work with Andre and help his cause...

Andre will always be my favorite Texan. He's our first great player and basically our only player to make this organization have a heartbeat for almost a decade. And his attitude/personality/whatever you want to call it just puts icing on the cake.

While this is a great story, it's nothing new. Dre's been doing this for a while now.

While the events involving Belcher were heatbreaking, it's troubling that articles like this aren't showing up on NFL.com, unless it's Tebow. I know Andre doesn't do it for the recognition, but that doesn't mean he, and others doing similar good deeds, shouldn't be recognized. All the public sees is suspensions for PEDs or other drugs, arrests, violent crimes, DUIs, and other negative stories.
