Rex will never, ever, start Tebow...period.
Clearly they didnt want him and had every chance to put him in....
Especially late in the game a few games this year.
He better play GMac |
another great decision by the jets to sign a guy they don't have any intention of playing |

Through all the incoherent ramblings of those two morons, the biggest point they brought up was Tebows weight. I think it's the most important factor and yet it's discussed the least. He is too damn heavy, 250lbs+, crazy. With Denver he was 235ish, he was fast and agile, not only could he run through tackles, but he could run around them. Dude was a jail break specialist, he could escape a broken pocket and make plays.
The extra padding is unnecessary and only makes footwork and passing improvements more difficult. It's not easy to throw with any kind of touch when you have a bowling ball for a shoulder. If the Jets cut him, he's gotta get back down to 230 and sweat the short game and footwork. I still think he can improve significantly and a team like the Jags, Raiders, Steelers or Chiefs would benefit from him. |

Does Rex put Tebow or Sanchez in if McElroy gets hurt? |

I doubt Tebow would be dressed if Mcelroy starts. |

My fear with him going with Sanchez is that McElroy may never get another shot to start if he doesn't get a start this week. Especially with Tebow on his way back from injury and Sanchez' insatiable ability to suck. |
Mark Sanchez is not the bet QB on the roster. He might not even be the second best. | He's definitely the most talented with the most upside. I don't think that's debatable...Sanchez' problem is making smart decisions and avoiding mistakes. With the way this team is built, we can't rely turn the ball over and expect to win football games.
So while, yes, Sanchez is the best QB on this team, he probably doesn't give us the best chance to win. McElroy seems to be much better at 'managing' the game.' |
Mark Sanchez has NO upside at this point. His upside is David Carr like I have basically said from day one. You dont take a QB 5th overall whose played one full season surrounded by talent. Hope we learned our lesson. Mark Sanchez was a MONUMENTAL mistake. | Sanchez best game is going to be better than McElroy's best game at this point. Sanchez can at least win or lose you a game with his arm depending on his mental state. McElroy is still a huge question mark (though based on limited snaps it seems like he won't win or lose you a game.) _________________

I'm split on this one, too.
Sanchez would likely give our D some turnovers, but also could probably throw for a lot of yards against us.
Mcelroy likely won't turn it over. But I don't see him passing all over us.
I'll take Mcelroy. _________________

Really? Sanchez only has like 18 [out of 58] games with 250 or more yards. |
