Did anybody else pay any attention to this guy on Sunday? I'm pretty sure the general consensus was that he was just going to be taking Belcher's special teams spot, but the guy started at FB, played 40 snaps, and Eachus didn't see a single play. The guy did a pretty darn good job lead blocking for Charles too.
Perhaps not worth a full thread, but I haven't seen the guy mentioned at all (often a good sign for a position like FB.) _________________

The run game looked great. Crisp, timely. Eachus may have hit the "rookie wall". Remember, these young guys played a lot during the pre-season and its like week 15 as far as his body is concerned. He's probably just worn out. However, regardless of circumstance, if somebody can do it better -- then the team won't hesitate to part with an undrafted rookie free agent in favor of somebody with better results. _________________

Eachus hit a rookie wall the minute he left campus. Dude is not good. He's a poor man's Jackie Battle. _________________

I agree on Eachus. It really shocks me that we had, what, like 6 active RBs/FBs??!!
I hope Eachus isn't the new Jake O'Connell. _________________

Dimarco was light years better than Eachus. Still want a new FB next year though. _________________

| Quote: | Bone-Crushing Block
On the first play of the game, Patrick DiMarco (+2.0) had as impressive looking a play as you will see all season. Lead-blocking on a run to the left side, DiMarco came around the edge and annihilated James Anderson on a block, throwing the linebacker aside like a rag doll in the process. Seldom do even the most devastating offensive linemen in the league dominate their opponents so thoroughly, much less a fullback on what was the first regular season snap of his NFL career. The play was not the lone bright spot on the day for the second-year man out of South Carolina, however, as he was on the field 40 of the team’s 72 offensive snaps, and played a key role in the success of Jamaal Charles and the Kansas City running game. |
Good praise from PFF. I would be fune with him going forward for the rest of the year and if he keeps improving then have him in the plans going forward. If he stumbles get rid of him and eachus |
