| I don't know why you guys are acting so surprised about Washburn. He is notorious for being foul-mouthed during practice. Turns out he is pretty rude and kinda a -... wow, no way, for reals. |

Being barker of a coach is one thing, yelling/cursing is a time proven method of coaching, I don't personally subscribe to it but if that's a coaches thing whatever
But openly mocking fellow coaches and players, as well as ignoring the rest of the Defense and telling the DLine to do their own thing is another
We all knew, and some loved, the former.....no one knew nor would tolerate the latter. _________________

There's a difference from being an obnoxious foul mouth coach that uses that to motivate and teach to get your point across. Not the first and without a doubt not the last. It's another thing altogether to intentionally under mine and berate another coach who's suppose to be the teams leader/coach on that side of the ball. I mean if your positional coach has no respect or belief in his boss and preaches it every chance he gets to his players , how will they? It's just a shame it was allowed to festers this long. No wonder this defense never seems to play as a unit when it seems as though it's three different entities. _________________

They were in a DL meeting with Washburn.
Washburn was wondering where his buddy Babin was.
Then he found out he was cut and threw a temper tantrum, causing Trent Cole to leave the meeting. |
Sometimes you just leave a bad situation.
It does not matter whether you agree or disagree.
It is a matter of maturity.
Cole's actions may lead one to believe he supported Washburn.
But, that's life.
You back your boss.
If he fails, you back the next one.
Good on Trent.
He aint' the coach. |
I interpreted it as Trent Cole being fed up with Washburn's outburst and saying "I'm done with this guy." _________________

We're surprised by the utter lack of professionalism that is being reported.
It's not about a guy who gets foul-mouthed during practice. It's not about being rude. There are a lot of coaches players absolutely hated, ala Jon Gruden.
But there's a difference between short-tempered and "rowdy" and completely disrupting an entire team.
In this case, it's not just that Washburn was a foul-mouth. It's that his foul-mouth absolutely shredded our team apart. _________________

Isn't this really just another reason to fire Andy Reid?
I mean first off, what HC in their right mind hires a d-line coach and lets him essentially dictate what kind of defense you are going to run? Then on top of that you let him trash your d-coordinator and in general create such a disturbance in the lockerroom that trickles down throughout the team. It is no wonder the players look like a bunch of individual, heartless zombies on the field and it all comes back to coaching. It is truly pathetic and just another reason Andy Reid needs to be shown the door at the end of the year. _________________
