Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero
Chad Greenway reiterated several times he hopes #Vikings fans are drunk next weekend. "Liquor, not beer." Wants a rowdy Dome. _________________

Ive been fairly neutral through this the entire thing, but man, Ponder is just brutal. This game was really the epitome of why I have little faith in him ever developing in to a franchise Qb going forward.
This was about what I expected this week. Close game, the defense largely doing a good enough job to give the offense a shot to win it, but the defense gave up a horribly long drive to close the game and given how poor Ponder is and how horrible the Wrs are, it was too much of a lead to overcome. Honestly, I cant be too disappointed, losing in GB by 9 would have been a lot better than I expected in September. |

Watching the rant now, he's totally right. _________________

I am a Packer fan so first I do want to thank Ponder for making that dum-dum throw into the end zone to Morgan Burnett. The other interception was just a really good defensive play so I can't put too much blame on Ponder for that one. Here is what I have seen while watching a few Vikings games this year.
Ponder is a better QB with a healthy Percy Harvin so maybe get the kid just needs more weapons. Your WR's are awful without Harvin out there.
Ponder has a very good arm and very good at avoiding pressure, and he can run. He does have a very good TE to work with and of course the best RB in football. I have Adrian on my fantasy football team so when he ripped those runs off I was going no no no - yes yes yes - weird.
If I were to critique the Vikings I would have to say mediocre coaching and some serious holes in certain spots that seem to be a chronic problem - kind of like the Packer RB situation. Your defense is underated IMO. |

He earned himself top FB money, that is for sure. Interesting how Peterson claims to love running without a FB but his likely two best seasons (2007 and this year) consisted on heavy use of a great FB. |

This year I remember him saying something along the lines of, "we have a special guy there now." _________________

Just for fun, I took a screen grab of Adrian's two long runs Sunday to look at how the defense was lined up:
First, the 82 yarder (to the right)
Then, the 48 yarder to open up the second half (to the left)
Also interesting, Geoff Schwartz was the RG on the 82 yarder, Fusco was the RG on the 48 yarder. _________________

With average QB play, we would have won this game.
Watching the game with non Vikings & non Packer fans, really goes to show me, how much other fans love our team, but know we wont be a threat with Ponder at QB.
The comments are:
"If you had a real QB, Rudolph would be a beast"
"You should be running AP in the Redzone"
Ponder is looked (by other fans) upon as the main reason we have not continued our success this season. And they are completely right. _________________
