I'm tired of being up against the salary-cap. It's only going to get worse with Stafford's next contract. I do believe he is a franchise QB, but I think we can have way more balance with an above-average QB. Wilson reminds me of Eli Manning, smart and productive. IMO having Matt Flynn will be a great stop-gap. Calvin needs a difference maker at the #2 spot. I think Floyd had a hard first year in Zona, but their QB situation is dreadful. Peterson is emerging as a shut-down corner and is a weapon on special teams. Pettigrew has value left and St Louis needs someone for Bradford. Ertz is a lot like Jimmy Graham, great in space with limited in-line blocking. That's where Dion Sims comes in. This guy is a load. I love how Seattle plays defense. Basically with 3 DT's and a DE. They have a Joker LB for rushing. Ronnell Lewis and Tahir Whitehead played this position in college, natural transition. I would love to see Suh get down to 290 and muscle up. I think he could be absolutely dominant at DE. Michael Johnson has been very productive in Cincinnati. Big enough to play the run, very good rusher. I like Lawrence Jackson. Good size. I would go Eric Reid in the first round for his size. Seattle plays with DB's that 6'3 and more, except for Earl Thomas. I really like Tony Jefferson and Matt Elam and both would be great if Reid is gone. Cox is a big CB too. I like Chris Houston, but he's unreliable with injuries. Peterson is going to be dominant in this defense. Plus we need a difference maker on returns. I want Delmas to prove he can stay healthy. I'd give him 2 million first year and make him earn roster bonuses for the remainder years. He can be Ed Reed, but has to stay healthy. Amerson is an intriguing prospect. Very big and fast. I think he could transition to free safety.
I love Schwartz, but he's not getting it done. The wide 9 is done in the league. Great for 3rd and long, but otherwise is a one trick pony. Look at Philly's problems with it. Ken Norton Jr was a freak linebacker when he played. High energy, very disciplined. He's been in this system since Pete Caroll went to USC. I love the fact he played for Jimmy Johnson.
I admire what Bruce Arians has done with the Colts as an interim head coach. I think he's a fantastic OC and seems to handling head coaching duties very well.
I know I will be vilified for getting rid of Stafford. I just don't think he is a leader of men. That is what a QB needs to be. He has all the talent in the world, but won't be a winning QB. I think Wilson has all the tools to be very good. |

Seattle kicked LoJack out cuz he didn't fit their system, now you want to retain him and bring their system here? _________________

Lot of creativitie I'll give you that. I think you knew making this mock that obviously the Stafford deal wouldn't prolly ever happen, but it's a good attempt.
CB's Peterson/Cox would be solid cover guys. I like QB Tyler Wilson but not more than Stafford right now. An I really don't like that you traded Stafford, drafted Wilson and didn't have the confidence he'd be able to start. Makes me question the trade to begin, whats the reason other than you think Stafford is a loser(which is questionable). |

Where are we getting all this money? We don't save much money from your cuts and we'd owe Stafford MILLIONS if we trade him. Maybe 10 per year! We easily be 20-30 million over the cap if not more!
This is a disgrace. This is just awful. If I was Calvin and we pulled this [inappropriate/removed], I'd hold out until I was traded or just retire.
3+ to Gosder
3 to Jackson
5 to Delmas
4 to Levy
3 to Sammie
2 to Williams
About 5 for the RFA's
Cutting KVB saves like 1 million but costs like 8 for the next 2 years
Burleson saves like 2
Why let Houston walk? Are you on crack?
The Stafford trade. We still owe 10-15 million for those players to play on other teams. Then add PP & Floyd's contracts.
No way in hell we get Marshall value for Pettigrew. Put down the pipe.
Owe 1.5 on Hill and 6 for Flynn. Thats 7.5 for a WORSE BACKUP!?!!!
6 to Cox too bad we don't have that money
5 to a freaking bust
7 to a poor mans Avril!
The min for Okoye is too low
Bennett won't leave for that contract
1.5 to a rich man Kassim Osgood
Then the draft. Wilson wishes he could be Stafford. Reid probably won't be that low & Balt is too smart to draft Te'o. Ertz is a reach. Amerson is actually good, too bad Delmas is in his spot. Jones won't last that long. Same for Franklin. Then a reach. Won't last. Reach again. WTF again.
I couldn't even laugh at this it's so awful. This isn't baseball, there's a spending limit. _________________ Kate Upton for sexy President!!!

Having a franchise QB on the roster and trading him for a stop-gap and a drafted QB is something garbage franchises do.
The Broncos were an example of this, until Peyton Manning fell into their laps.
Also, if we were to trade Stafford for some ridiculous reason, it would take a lot more than what you have there. _________________

This mock really shows the quality of educational system in this country.
I have argued or a long time that classes in logic should be taught in high school to prevent certain issues.
Its a shame I have been proven correct again. |

For those that attacked the OP rather than the mock, way to go.
You might not agree with the mock but that doesn't mean there wasn't a great deal of thought and effort put into it.
If you can't be bothered to give a quality rebuttal to the mock then don't bother to post. _________________

They had him loose weight to play the position they had him in. It took him several weeks to get on the field for us because he was so light. He wouldn't be in the same OLB position in my mock. He'd be a DE. |
