No matter how many times I've seen that play, it still blows me away that someone that big could move that fast. Kind of a far cry from his last couple years in Dallas. _________________

I like Deidorf's reaction. You can tell he spotted Allen rumbling like freight train from the get go. _________________

That is my favorite Larry Allen highlight and that was his Rookie year I think.. no one every heard of him outside of Dallas until that game on MNF and no one forgot after that..
I always like Dierdorf on MNF, he was never one to hold his tounge.. if he didn't like a player or a play, he let 'em have it.. and of course as he did with Larry Allen on this play, he would gush about a player although not as bad as Gruden does..
The only no doubters from the 2013 class IMO are Allen and Ogden. It's hard to tell about the others even though most are deserving. I still don't know why Chris Carter is not it.. or Andre Reed for that matter..
Coryell, as well deserves to be in the Hall. If you have ever read much of Peter Kings column he always talks points out, can you tell the story of the NFL without talking about this candidate... you certainly cannot tell the story of the NFL without talking about Coryell. He Pioneered the passing offense in the late 70s to early 80s. Most AFLs passed the ball a lot in the early 60s but all that went away when the AFL merged with the NFL. Don Coryell brought the passing game back in the late 70s and early 80s and expanded upon it. The Chargers lit up the NFL in the early 80s and changed the way teams played the game... The NFL has never been the same and the expansion of the NFL passing game can be attributed to Don Coryell..
I guess the only mark against Coryell is he didn't win a championship and in fact, didn't win enough overall. He did take 2 dead beat franchises and resurrected them to prominence but never even got to a Super Bowl.. which hurts his candidacy a lot.. still, if it were me, i put him in. |

Wizardhawk, Jwingate. You both should be deeply ashamed of your self by not having the legend of Morten Andersen on your lists. SHAME I TELL YOU!!
.. You both could learn from Texas_Outlaw7 who is really showing what an intelligent member he is and that he truely belongs among the smartest on this forum. |

I realize he has a ton of records, thanks to his longevity. Morten doesn't have an 80% accuracy rate despite playing the majority of his games in a controlled environment. That's terrible imo.
I also look at it this way, If Gary Anderson, whose numbers are just as good, isn't in and been eligible longer, than Morten can wait too. _________________

I did top 5, TO7 did a top 15. If I was to do a top 15 Morten Anderson would be higher on my list... _________________
