Here's a stone hard fact:

Nobody has any friggin clue what Chip Kelly will try at the pro level.

Yeah I agree. He's not going to run the exact offense Oregon is running now. It won't work and the QB takes too many hits for its to work consistently at this level. Not to mention the money invested in QBs. Think more UNH days. He made David Ball the all-time leading receiver in CFB history and he turned out to be nothing more than a practice squad guy in the NFL.

This is what I came to ask, he can't run his system in the NFL. We need a tough coach too. Philly would break Chip.

Some people are down on [Chip Kelly] for being a gimmicky coach. He really is a lot more of a fundamentally sound guy than most people realize. Chip wants to run. He just doesn’t believe in lining up power on power. He’d rather spread you out and attack you creatively, but with his ground attack. His QB has only thrown more than 28 passes in a game 4 times, with a high of 37. The QB has thrown 25 or fewer passes 6 times this year.

So we'd theoretically go from a finesse passing game to a finesse running game. Somehow that doesn't increase my enthusiasm...

How can you run a finesse running game?

See eagles game vs Carolina or eagles '12 for that matter

What's the point of backing up the brink truck if he's running a pro-style I formation basic offense? That new way of thinking is what your paying for?

Also, knowing this organisation, once Kelly turns us down, we'll panic and hire Gruden or Billick or someone.

And you base this on what?

A hunch, the organisation does this sort of thing the last few years.

Didn't he say he was happy about Foles leaving Arizona? (Because he's a helluva playa) something in that mold

Chip would only need someone who can make the defense pay notice to the run. So not a Manning, but even someone with the athleticism like Rodgers who can pick up the first down.

Don't want the Cover 2. Or would Rivera use that?
