Hate to say this but this TD passing streak needs to end tonight!
I honestly feel as games get late and brees dosent have his pass TD he begins to press even more. It alters our play calling to satisfy the superstar. It Needs to end. _________________

I hope that bum stays out the game. We need to find an OT. _________________ The Quote of the Month is: "Losing Creditability" |

Game over.
Brees and the offense cost this team the game. Defense played its heart out and did everything to keep them in.
Seriously, our season is on the line and Brees and the offense lays a stinker. Really really poor showing by that side of the ball.
I don't envision playoffs with that sort of performances. I honestly wish we could have more balanced playcalling. We got around 100 yards on the ground, and looked most deadly when we had that balance, yet for some reason we complete get rid of that and continue to air out. Just enough for Brees to turn it over on forced throws. Terrible performance by Brees tonight. Absolutely terrible. _________________

Looks like we are going to get the ball back, but I think he is going to be called downed where he recovered it. Time for Brees to throw another one. _________________ The Quote of the Month is: "Losing Creditability" |

Let's call it for what it is... This team is old and slow on defense and on offense our superstar QB is not the super accurate passer he once was and his age and throw count is catching up with him.
The offensive line has ZERO tackles, when Charles brown looks to be ur best on the edge ur in trouble!
To top it all off were way over budget next season with depleted draft selections. People who say we need to take advantage of brees last few years of his prime are kidding themselves! This roster is at least 2 years away due to cap and draft restrictions!
Get used to it saints fans... We'll be a solid club in the future but a rebuild is clearly on the way and it's gonna take time! _________________

My biggest fear... All these players will get a pass this offseason and the front office will try and cram the whole "it was because bounty gate" crap down our throat! _________________

Saints entire roster is either...
To old
To young
To fat
To slow
To soft
Major changes needed... But don't hold your breath! _________________

People will hate this and I'm not overreacting to one game but thinking of the season as a hole... Drew Brees will not see the 4th year of his contract with the Saints.
He's not as accurate as he used to be, he is everything right as well as everything wrong with this team mentality wise. Drew has about 4 more seasons left in this leauge but at his price only 2 will be in the black and gold. It's time this offseason to draft his eventual replacement and protect our future. Yes we have major needs but by the time this roster is rebuilt brees will be gone.
Ryan Nassib sure looks like a attractive option this April! _________________

Looks like we all were right when we said Brees deserved to get paid, but not #1 QB paid. Most of us disagreed, but accepted the contract when it came out.
What were Loomis and Benson thinking? _________________

That's exactly what I was talking about in my post "The draft pick no one saw coming". Drew's contract extention was great for him, bad for the team. As good as he's been for this city and franchise his cap number makes him expendable if he shows ANY signs of regressing. Go back 2 years ago and ask any Colts fan if they thought Peyton Manning would play for any other franchise then theirs... they would have thought you crazy.
Brees will be here at least throughout the next 2 seasons, then his contract becomes a 20 mil per team option in 2015 & 2016. Drafting a young quarterback for the future now would allow him time to learn behim drew for a couple years like aaron rodgers did and then the Saints and Drew can part ways in 2015. _________________

Things will be ENTIRELY different if/when SP is back. Drew sucks but that's because he's putting everything on him. He's trying to put the team on his back doe but it doesn't work. Everything will be better next year if we get Sean back, just watch. _________________ #JDI |
