With the injury to Brooks, you think we try and claim him? _________________

Just saw this, I'm not contract expert, but I remember us having to jettison key players to get under. His contract doesn't look super terrible, but hes making some money. So I don't know if we can afford him even if we wanted him.
Also, has anyone been really following the Eagles? How does Ryans look so far? _________________ "You may all go to Hell, and I will go to Texas."

His MO has always been that of a Wide 9/"hand down" player who doesn't do anything remotely well when asked to play in space, or standing. We've already tried him out as a 3-4 OLB (albiet under a different regime) and it didn't work out, so I don't see any reason to try it out, especially given that Reed is slated to come back in a month or so.
Had this been a season ending injury, I would entertain it at the least. Given that Reed is bound to return, I almost prefer giving snaps to Whitney Mercilius and Bryan Brahman. Get them some real PT outside of ST and rotational play, see if we can build on the existing roster - much like we did last season once Mario went down and Reed was forced into action ahead of schedule. _________________

Ryan has been a leader for them and their best mike LB since 2007 so I've been told. _________________

If I made a list of clear steroid users in the NFL, Babin would be at the top, right next to Clay Matthews and Jared Allen.
We've got enough steroid users on the team. Let's pass on this guy, who already showed he can't play in a 3-4. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |

Pro football focus had him as the #4 ILB last week I think. _________________

From what I can remember he threw our organization under the bus multiple times when he was at Tennessee. But I can't remember what he said? Anyone else remember this? But anyway that's not the reason why I don't think we will sign him. I just can't imagine him ever standing up. But when I first heard about him being released I thought about the Packers being the favorite to pick him up. _________________

I was thinking the Packers and or Falcons. Send him to a team that is playoff bound to see if the extra pass rush sets them over the top _________________ My Teams

I know the Falcons were pursuing him when he was a Free Agent. With their abysmal pass rush this season, and high-powered offense, I could see him going to the Atlanta. I don't think they run a Wide 9 there, but Mike Nolan is a great coach and may be able to work him in, especially on passing downs. |

Babin has about as much chance of returning to Houston as Bud Adams.
Clear roids user, only tries in contract years and was already a massive failure in Capers 3-4 in Houston after we gave up a lot to draft him. He's also a chronic pile jumper. Terrible, terrible player. _________________

It's exactly what he deserves, to play for a team that is out of the running.
He'll probably suddenly show up and reel off 5-6 sacks during garbage time in the remaining games. Some sucker team will sign him to a nice contract ("He's a 10 sack guy!"), and he'll go right back to minimal effort, pile jumping football. And I will be sad inside since he will collect another horribly undeserved 8 figure payday.
He should do endorsements for HGH and Massengill. _________________

I think they picked him up off waivers so his contract is back in effect meaning he still has a few more years of Jacksonville _________________ "You may all go to Hell, and I will go to Texas."
