I hate to say no, because he's been great this year, but if he's wanting Ware-money, I really hope not. _________________

With Spencer, it will come down to dollars and sense. If he wants Ware type dollars, then it doesn't make sense to keep him. Spencer has been really good this year. He deserves to be paid for his performance. Does he deserve Top 5 at his position money? No. Will he want that type of money? Most likely.
During contract talks after the season, if Spencer demands Ware type money, we should let him test free agency and go after Connor Barwin of the Texans. _________________

No. I fully expect Spencer's asking price to be in the neighborhood of 5-6yrs at $9-11M per. Guaranteed money somewhere around $30M. _________________

| I still say franchise. I'm not surprised that Spencer has excelled in a contract year. I just don't trust him enough to be consistent through a multi-year deal. Use our last franchise on him. It only bumps him up from 8 to 10mil. Attempt to fix the O-line in the draft, and hope we can develop or draft an OLB in 2014. |
