What do the
Warriors, As and Raiders have in common
They are all based in Oakland and have to little success.
If we look back at our history, our last superbowl win was the LA Raiders. The market in LA is so much bigger than than the east bay. We should have a state of the art stadium like the cowboys but Oakland will never afford one..
Moving to LA would also help us attract key free agents. Where would millionaires want to live, next to Oakland or next to Hollywood.
There was just more buzz during the LA days
Who would be favor of moving into a new stadium in LA? |

I dunno Surfer, you decide. You're the one with the keys to this franchise, what do you think about every single thing that happens every week? Better yet, let Pryor decide. |

The Warriors are on the upswing now that they have new ownership and management controlling things. And the A's just finished off a great season. Seems like you can't get anything right. _________________

They're still rumored to be moving to SF though, aren't they? |

Making the playoffs is a miracle in Oakland. The city goals should be higher. Maybe im spoiled by being a laker fan |

There will never be a team like the Lakers in any other sport. How are the Dodgers doing? They actually remind me of the Raiders. Rich history, but nothing to show for it now. _________________

That is actually due in large part to the incompetent front office that was running the team over the past few years. The new management has done a really good job of acquiring talent and the Dodgers should be a contender in the National League within the next couple of years.
But with that being said location isn't as big of a factor in NFL free agency as it is in other professional sports.
I wouldn't mind moving back to Los Angeles and getting a brand new stadium though, that would be nice. _________________

Raiders, A's, Warriors, Giants, Sharks all have had great success here. Location doesn't have anything to do with success... just revenue. Our local teams have had great success in the 70's, 80's, 90's and even early 2000's. It's just these last 8-9 years has been a drought in our local area. The sky isn't falling. Teams, area's etc have up and down periods. We've just been in a down period for some time.
But as others are saying, things are starting to look up. A's just won the toughest division in baseball and are on the verge of getting a new stadium. Giants and Niners look to be entering a great era with new stadiums and great teams. Warriors are looking like a good team this year, aggressive new ownership is making moves left and right, tried harde to get Dwight Howard and Chris Paul when they were FA's, new stadium on the way.... Mark Davis looks to be the last piece. He's saying the right things too. Just have to wait and see if he's going to make good.
That being said, I wouldn't be mad with a move to LA. Lots of things to like about it. But I don't think it's necessary. _________________ Bah-Weep-Granah-Weep-Nini-Bong
