Batch to Start
Steelers looking at Kafka, Hoyer to back up Batch
Burress comin' back?
Last Week at a glance...
Steelers:
The Black and Gold lost a hard fought battle against division nemesis Batlimore 13-10 courtesy of one killer return by the Ravens. The Steelers Offense was inept, to say the least...but not as inept as the Ratbirds. Joe Flacco looked more like Byron Leftwich than Byron did...but that wasn't enough to stop Jacoby Jones from making the game changing play that gave the Ravens the lead they would not relinquish. Pittsburgh's defense, without Troy Polamalu held the Ravens to 47 yards rushing on 23 attempts.
Browns:
Another week, and the Mistake on the Lake found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Up three points with a minute and seven seconds remaining, the Cleveland defense allowed the Dallas Cowboys offense to drive 66 yards in a minute five seconds to allow Dallas to kick the game tying field goal. Cleveland fell to a far more superior team talent wise, but displayed an outstanding effort led by ho-hum rookie QB (almost eligible for social security btw) Eric Weeden's two TD passes.
History of the Series:
Steelers lead series 64-56
In Cleveland: Pittsburgh is 24-35 All time
In Pittsburgh: Pittsburgh is 40-21 All time
Last Game between these two: Pittsburgh 13 Cleveland 9
and without further delay...

This game is going to be decided by the defense and there ability to create turnovers and short fields. If that can't do that then I believe the Browns can upset the Steelers. The Browns defense is playing extremely well and will pose a real threat to the Steelers severely limited offense. _________________

Nice analysis. The Steelers D will need to pitch a shutout or even score, and they have the ability to do either, even both. The Browns D will need to take advantage of the QB situation while not letting the Steelers run game get away from them.
My gut says you are dead right about field position playing a big role in this game.
My guess would be a low scoring, hard fought, narrow victory by the Browns with Phil Dawson the MVP. _________________

I believe the Steelers defense can force Weeden into some mistakes, but Haley has to realize that his best option right now is to run the ball. The Steelers are now on the 3rd string QB with a unknown commodity after that. With Big Ben and Leftwich both gone for at least the next 2-3 weeks respectively the Steelers have to minimize C. Batch ( also prone to injuries) exposure while maximizing his abilities in the offense.
I believe the Steelers defense can hold the Browns offense to at least 10 pts. But that doesn't factor in mistakes, by the Steelers offense and special teams. Something similar that happened last week. In order for the Steelers to win this game they have to run the ball more than they pass it.
No turnovers the Steelers lose 13-10
The Steelers defense forces turnovers the Steelers win 24-9 _________________

| Lebeau has an increadible record against rookie QB's. He confuses him early and often. Batch manages the game. We win 21-13 |

Damn! Who is that first hottie? Anyone know?
As for the game....I think we win. The Browns can contain our offense without Ben, but our offense has a better chance of making plays against their D than their offense has against our D.

Wow! That second chick is gorgeous! Might be the hottest chick ever put up for girl of the week.
This game is a must win. I believe in batch as a back up. I actually believe in him more than I do leftwich to make the right reads and not turn the ball over.
As long as we Don't turn the ball over, we win.
