I am glad that I was not the only one to think that the suspension of Reed was stupid _________________

Irrelevant. |
In terms of whether or not a flag should be thrown, sure, but it looks like it's relevant when you're talking about suspensions. |

Not really. Crown of the helmet is much more dangerous |
They're equally illegal. The rule doesn't care about intent or which is more dangerous. _________________

Good that it was lifted, not worthy of a suspension. The egregious thing about this is that he was suspended for repetitive infractions but they date back to 2010. If he had been fined for the same thing 3 times in one year, fair enough you have an argument but 3 times over a 3 year period? C'mon man. _________________

Wait, all you have to do to get your suspension lifted is say "I don't think I should have been suspended" and the NFL just says "alright, 50,00 then"
Ok. _________________

Yep, I'm sure that's all that was argued -- "Uh I disagee"... "Oh darn, we were hoping you agreed. Oh well, we overturn it." _________________

Ok. | Yep, that's why that whole Vilma-bounty thing was worked out so quick and cleanly. _________________

While he shouldn't have been suspended in the first place this is the same thing that happened with Harrison. _________________

Funny how that works out when the guy doing the appeals isn't the same guy who handed out the suspension.

yet, if they did this for bountygate, cottrell would rule against hte players there too. _________________

Actually, it is. Cottrell was the one who suspended him, and lifted the suspension, on Ed Reed. No joke. _________________ Come Follow The Great NSFL!

Until we start penalizing offense players for helmet to helmet, I can't take anything about player safety seriously. There are like 25 tackles in each and every game when an offense player lowers his head into the defenders head when he has already started motioning to tackle below the offensive players head. In the majority of this cases it is physically impossible for a defender to re-react to the offensive players new position because of the time it takes for the brain to process motion. |

Harrison hadn't had an infraction in over 16 games. _________________
