Thought I'd stay consistent and this time give credit where credit is due. Team gave up just two sacks today against the best in the NFL. Total on the year is 41.
Amazing how much better we look without Snyder and Batiste. Another good game for Massie. RG is the weakest spot on the line no question. Then toss up between tackles on a given week.
Potter can, based on what I saw today, at least be servicable on this team whether that's as a sub starter or just depth. Nice 7th round pick. _________________

Potter looked quick in pass coverage today but wasn't really challenged. He got caught a few times off the line but it was his first game. Chris Peterson coached players always gave good technique. How early is too early for Chance Warmack? Can he play RG?? _________________

Though Snyder wasn't really doing it well either, Rich Ohrnberger is killing us in the run game. |

Agreed, however Snyders pass protection was maybe the worst on the team.
He was just bad at everything. _________________

Snyder didn't run block well either I'm just saying that Snyder being out isn't having the positive affect that I think Cardinals fan think it is. Ohrnberger isn't helping.
And yes, RG is easily the weakest link here. Massie played well again yesterday. Colledge stunk up the joint but he's been better than that this season so I'll chalk it up to a bad day. Potter looked good. Maybe things are looking up. Maybe. |

I didn't think it needed it's own thread because it's inconsequential and this seemed as great a place to put it as any. The team has officially released Jeremy Bridges with an injury settlement. |

Does anyone know why Sendlein has not been playing as well this season? I wonder if he is playing through an injury again like he did a season or two ago. There has to be a reason he is struggling. _________________

The wasteland directly to his right can't be helping. |

Three sacks allowed yesterday at ATL. Making it 44 on the season.
Not going to reach that mark now that Batiste is out and Massie seemingly improving however this was from Peter King this morning...
f. The Arizona tackles. They're going to get people fired on that team.
Take that for what it's worth. _________________

It's not worth anything. Peter King's kind of a joke anyway.
Change that to QB and you've probably got something. |

Not to mention one of those sacks was on Sherman. _________________

Also not to mention that sack should have been a 5-6 yard loss. Our QB turned it into a 15 yard loss. |

Two sacks given up yesterday, that makes 46.
The oline is improving, no doubt about it. Ran game still is poor, almost zero push in the middle.
I think LG, C and RT are safe next year. Massie has improved immensily and Lyle has played better as of late. Colledge remains solid.
Snyder is better, but that's not saying much to where he was earlier. Dumb penalty yesterday.
Potter has held up admirably, and I'll feel very comfortable with him as a third OT in year two. _________________

Actuallt the run game was lot better OL wise if you watch it back. First 2 plays of the game should have both been 10-15 yard runs b y Beanie but he was slipping around, Khodder showed another highlighted play in the gameday thread where Beanie has a massive backside hole but he doesn't make the cut (Correction: He can't make the cut. He's literally incapable. That's the main reason we even took Ryan Williams). While it wasn't a phenomenal effort up front in the run game, it's much better than you'd think if you watch it back.
Snyder's been pretty damn good the last 2 weeks but that doesn't erase the previous damage. He's got to go for this OL to make any tangible improvement. |
