i don't think that anyone is suggesting that he isn't something special. To answer your question, no. But they are also very different players than Watt. |
I was just trying to highlight the fact that whilst they have had similarly dominant seasons, they have never put up these kind of numbers. And to get DPOY recognition you need the stats. |
Because theyre different players thats why. Particularly Haloti Ngata. |
I don't know why i bother responding to you but oh well.
The point was never to compare them head to head, i was pointing out the fact that it doesn't matter if you had a really good season if the numbers don't reflect that you ain't sniffing an award like DPOY. |
Then dont respond to me. You spew nonsense and stupidity but i still respond to you. |
Lol ok. _________________

The Bears told us all last year that TJ was in position to make plays but for whatever reason wasn't catching the picks. Supposedly he put in a lot of extra work on his hands this offseason and its showing. TJ was benched at the end of the year last year b/c he wasn't making those plays. Idk if this type of season will ever be duplicated by any other CB simply b/c you never see a guy have this much success and continue to be the most targeted CB in the league. Tells you how much respect opponents have for Peanut.
As for whether or not TJ or Peanut covers the #1, here's how it works: most of the time neither flip sides they cover whoever is on their side of the field, however, in certain matchup situations if the #1 WR is a big guy a la CJ, AJ, then Peanut will shadow that guy, if the #1 is on the smaller side a la Steve Smith then TJ will shadow him. But for the most part both guys just stay on their side of the field. _________________

He's been like that almost every game, which is why it's too bad he isn't getting a whole lot of DPOY buzz |
He has been a total beast all season...but no....Sunday was a sight to see. One of the most dominating performances I have ever seen. |
Yes he was. First time I've really seen him play with so much anger. I hope he can keep playing like that. Cam now knows not to get Von mad. |
I know he made reference to Cam after the game, but I think it was Steve Smith's block on the first play from scrimmage that got him going. Von got straight back up and proceeding to completely ruin the entire Panthers gameplan. |
I completely forgot about that play. Von was LIT UP and from that point on, he just outright dominated. IIRC he had a sack, 2 hits (one which resulted in a pick-6), 4 hurries, 4 TFLs, and a FF. His best performance as a Bronco IMO. _________________

I'd still go with JJ at this point, but Von has been ridiculous in the past few weeks. |
