O’Connell suffered a high ankle sprain in Monday night’s overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and likely would not have been available for at least a couple of weeks.
With right guard Jon Asamoah out after undergoing thumb surgery and center Ryan Lilja questionable with a knee injury, Ranglin provides some additional depth along the offensive line.
O’Connell recorded just three catches for 18 yards and a special teams tackle in eight games for the Chiefs this season.

I am somewhat surprised Anthony Becht wasn't brought on board. He must be on vacation right now.

I heard Becht was getting some hormone repalcement therapy.
So our TE's are Moeaki and Maneri, that's it? I feel an unleashing of the Eachus coming!

Well, since Jake is a UFA this offseason I was going to see what contract offers we could come up with to keep such an integral part of our offense on our roster for years to come.
