(thought he deserved it due to his outstanding performances)
vs.
Oakland Raiders
(sorry Raider fans but I had to  )
@
Key questions before this game:
1.) Does the Saints pass D allow Carson Palmer to look like a living, breathing QB and have success like they have this whole season or can they clamp down? (and not allow nearly 500 yards of offense)
2.) Can we continue a successful running game that we have shown the past two weeks?
3.) Can our D-line get some pressure like it has in the past?
4.) Marcel Reese is their starting RB I believe, does he go off on us or can we take advantage?
5.) Can our O-line continue to keep Brees upright?

Palmer will have his yards, but all we do is throw, or play from behind.

Depends which run D shows up, but regardless, whether its on the ground, through the air or both, your offense will have plenty success
3.) Can our D-line get some pressure like it has in the past?
Most likely, especially if Spags is aggressive like he was against Philly.

Doubtful that he goes off, our run game has sucked all year and I don't see that changing, although I obviously hope it does.
5.) Can our O-line continue to keep Brees upright?

I really can't fathom a scenario where something other than shootout occurs, and I hate shootouts because our defense is historically terrible. I have a feeling Brees is gonna have to play nearly perfect today, especially after Oakland got embarrassed last week.
If we win, I predict Brees will be 35/48, 420 yds, 4 TDs, 0 ints. If we lose, it'll look more like 35/48, 420 yds, 4 TDs, 2 ints. I'm afraid Brees needs to be near perfect, we can't afford turnovers in a shootout like this will most likely be. |
