Unless we pick up a free agent CB of equal value, I don't think that happens this offseason. We currently have no one to replace him and we have too many other needs (WR, OLB and RT), to be creating another need for an immediate starter. |
Is Browner a FA after this season or next? The problem we will run into is that our Secondary is going to be very expensive very soon, and I think that Sherm and ET will be our #1 and #2 priorities. |
Browner is extremely cheap. In 2011 he signed a 3 year $1.29 million contract. This year he makes $465,000, next year he makes $555,000 and in 2014 he's a restricted free agent. I wouldn't even worry about his contract until that time. |
Phew I thought so. But what I'm saying is that I could see Browner going to another team, who might overpay for him, especially if he maintains his current standard of play. |
Given his contract status, that won't be until at least, 2014 and since he would be a restricted free agent, we could get a very high pick in return, depending what we value him at. Looking at the contracts of the guys in our secondary, that is one area where we are set, for the next couple of seasons. |
Is he technically counted as a rookie as well? I need to get my *** together and pick up on this crap. In that case, we might as well keep him or let a team give up a nice draft pick for him. |

I was just curious because you said that he will be an RFA. I don't think that he ever made the 53-man squad with the Broncos either. |
