Its really not a joke. I cant believe some people are acting like this is ridiculous....
Its a rule. You cannot tackle the Quarterback below the knees. Anybody that says its a joke is just being a homer. Im not even saying its Vons fault, its just a rule, and a rule is a rule. You have to play to the rules just like a Safety cant hit a defenseless receiver.

Von is appealing it. Von's response (from Denver Post):
